Accidental house tapping
There is an option to turn it off. Open up the build menu and tap the "i" in the top right corner, then check the box for confirm donut spending.

No, I think the Op just wants the speed up on buildings removed.
I think it's unneeded to speed up a house, but I'm also a lot more careful when tapping and haven't spent donuts speeding up a house (or even triggered my donut confirm message for a building) in like at least 8-10 months.
The tasks I can see leaving it as others like to blow past the 24 hour ones, but paying X donuts for 1 rent is pretty poor use of donuts. The only buildings worth that is the ghost generators (or during Whacking Day, the snake generators).
