I dont seem to crash while playing the game but i do have the "Bart screen" every time i load the game and have to hit retry before the game will load, this happens on all 3 of my towns
I have that problem ... it is my router that is the culprit, just haven't got around to replacing it yet. It also means that on opening the web browser on my PC, the home page doesn't load and I have to hit refresh.
As far as the crashing goes, since Halloween last year (when I had an issue with a corrupted account on Origin) it hasn't been an issue at all on my iPad Air. Whenever it does start crashing I simply force close TSTO and the other apps that are frozen in the background (the number of which builds up surprisingly quickly) and the problem goes away.
Being convinced that it isn't a device issue just because it is a powerful all-singing, all-dancing affair (as mine is) is a little shortsighted because the device specs are not necessarily the driver for how it behaves at any particular time. In particular where a player's game works fine on one device and not on another, it does point to some issue with the device rather than the game.
These threads highlight just how difficult it is to solve problems like this ... not everyone is suffering problems, the problems manifest in different ways for different users, and some of the problems undoubtedly will be with individual devices rather than the game itself.
Where EA fails to cover itself in glory is its lack of communication on bugs and issues. However, as we saw with the lag issue at the end of the Easter event, where there is an obvious problem that clearly affects all players in the same way, EA do get on and fix it pretty quickly (and compensate with donuts).
well said, they surely do have 10lbs of crap in a 5lb bag! especially since there are planned and timed Updates, Tie-In's, etc.. and then there are bug issues and glitches that the game team has to try to fix in between all those updates.NMayo wrote:

I know people always want updates with content (we all do) but i'm sure if they did one big update that actually sorted these glitches/problems i think everyone would be happy they were fixed
In short we would all sacrifice a content update for a glitch fix update :)- Both iPad 1 and Android on Galaxy S3:
Bart retry screen every single time at start, sometimes more than once to get in, most ever took three times to get in.
Android crashes less than iPad, but both crash when setting tasks, collecting money, or visiting friends.
Interestingly, you can reduce the number of crashes if you stop tapping when you get a warning signal - either if the screen / character movement freezes or the background music stutters. If that happens, stop tapping or swiping immediately and wait 30 seconds - I've dodged a number of crashes that way.
But it's still way more unstable than normal since the 4th of July event finished.
I blame Abe Lincoln for getting mad at Homer, or George Washington for accidentally cutting a fibre optic cable with his axe. NeoSEC28 wrote:

absolutely!! and I really dont mind not always having updates, the downtime is nice =) but heck yes id give up 3 updates if they could make the game rock solid 100% stable.- Yep. Hopefully won't happen after next update.
- Oh and BTW EA...we've all suffered with this, so how about some more free donuts? :!: 8)
- Been having this problem for 3 days now. The game starts and disconnects immediately.
- Yup... this game loves to crash more than James Spader!
- I managed to keep the game running for a little while by going to Krustyland and back. Long enough to buy and place the cool brown house and start its quest. Then it crashed again.
- well hopefully with todays updates and brief maintenances its all cleared up!
