Anyone else struggling?

I'm retired, use a second generation iPad 2, play quite a bit, and i'm still shy about 4000 towards the hover car. I'm at a point right now, that if I don't get all the prizes, I just don't care anymore. Your friends during these events don't even know you visited them, you and they can't benefit intertwining with each other, so these events have become tedious. I'm not going to sweat it, and just hope for the best.

Im playing event from late day 1 and i dont have the hover car yet either but im on vacation so im taking it easy. You will be fine just like me but short on bonuts rounds.

I'm doing well but will be on vacation wed to sun and will probably fall behind a bit. I'm confortable spending a couple sprinkles for Sgt Skinner if needed. Losing pace for the crafting prizes is what's more concerning.

Yep, definitely struggling thanks to some bad timing, house guests showed up last Tuesday and stayed until Friday afternoon, combined with the fact that my game didn't auto-update until Friday either. I kept playing 2-3 times a day on the normal game while everyone else played the event, and the update didn't show in my iTunes either. Playing like hell now but at 8,600 and in serious doubt about my ability to get there in Act 1. Very irritated about it.

Just to make matters worse, my work during the end of Act 3 will stop me playing more than twice a day - magic. :roll:

I found the last event to be a struggle, particularly in my freemium town. This one is impossible. The second town will probably miss the last two prizes of this Act. It seems a bit off to program the event so that players need to log in every 4 hours 24/7 Hopefully EA will modify the robot parts and dark matter requirements.

You definitely aren't the only one.
This is the event I've been hoping for for months, and I just happened to have to go on a work thing for ten days with almost no internet access - no phone service and one very weak, rural wifi connection for two hours in the evening. This is the first event where I can see myself spending donuts to get the prizes.

It's a bummer for sure; just try to enjoy what you can get done and don't stress too much about falling a bit short. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do.

I'm away for the whole of act 3 so will only be able to play twice a day and only then if there is wi-fi connection. I'm hoping they make the last act easy like previous events.

I know this is always met with disdain - but if finishing the act is important to you, you could always get the card that doubles friend visits. I only did that once for an event I was struggling with, and it helped me catch up and then get ahead. The robot burns premium also pays out event currency throughout the quest-line. Good luck!

Here's the calendar to check (monday start). Also there are daily tasks that award 1100 in event currency. I have yet to get one, but you could try dismissing tasks until you do. I believe you can hold onto a max of 3 tasks and keep dismissing one per day.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone but I feel bad that others are struggling too, especially cause of commitments etc.

I just wish the game would force update straight away. I don't really get EA's logic of giving it 3 days. If they didn't have forced updates at all then it would make more sense. Oh well.

Thanks for the support everyone, I'll keep grinding and maybe I'll finish it all or at least get to a point where I don't need to spend lots of donuts for the final prize.
