Look in your profile and make sure you have

Attach my signature:

set to "Yes".

Also when you post, look below and check the "Append Signature".

Try something simple first, like "Hello, World!".

You either resize it to max 640px wide before uploading it, or you have to use html tags to specify size. A quick Google search will show you the format for "img src=" tags and "style width" tags. I'd show you but it's hard to illustrate in a text box.

It's easier to resize first before upload with a photo editor app. The one i have resizes, uploads to imgur, and gives you the address to copy. Pics are a breeze!
