attn housefarmers

I know of one or two exceptions to this rule. I have one tapper who I anonymously friended back at the beginning who has hundreds of houses but they're all on their own streets with their own backyards and everything. They have lots of land so their Springfield actually feels like a proper town as a result. A couple of others have managed to do something similar where they actually make the effort to at least make them look good.

But yeah in general, farms are ugly.
  • I have a section in the middle of my town with two of each house surrounded by brown houses. It is directly under where the game opens up to if you are visiting. It lets people visiting get in and out fast if all they wanted to do was farm.

Surrounding that is my nicer bits of town. I organized into sections of shops and municipal buildings with a more natural neighborhood with the significant houses in it. I also have an industrial complex. I spattered the restaurants and whatnot around the shops and municipal buildings.

Then way off to one side is a blue house farm. It currently generates enough income for 2-3 chunks of land a week, which covers big updates like this one. But soon it will be slower than that and I will need to add more houses. I think the trick with house farms is to keep them way off to one side and just pretend like they don't exist.

I also regularly restructure my town. the center of the town shifts when you buy enough land, so I move "visitor village" back to the center and move new buildings around into their proper sections of town. Right now the edges look messy where I have put all the new buildings, but when the update is over, Ill move the mapple store to the shopping area, the hospital to the municipal zone, etc...

I had the worst guy. You can't see the fronts of any of the buildings just the rooftops, for most. He's crammed his buildings so close, with about two blocks of road,in the whole Springfield. If he was a low level I might understand( but still not forgive him) but he's something like level 24. He must have enough money to sort it out. It's hard to find the houses with decorations, so I just didn't bother and deleted.

I have someone very similar, if not the same guy who has just crammed his house all next to each other, looks like a Favela!!!

I have 25 blue and 25 purple, but in a row of five with roads between each one, with trees, bushes, etc, for me looks more like a neighborhood than a farm.

That isn't a farm IMO It a great looking neighborhood.

That is what I tried to do, a neighborhood and not a farm, thanks.
  • i have also started a coin farm for friends. i placed it way in the back behind my cemetary.. 13 decorated brown houses.
i purchased the land and set the spare brown houses that i had for coin for my friends.
I think i have about 8 of 16 friends that are active players.
i started out as a heavy farmer then wanted a nicer looking Springfield.
So the rest of my town has lots of roads,trees,etc....And i try not to make it look too cluttered.
Now im having to re engineer my town to fit the new buildings....
    Mapple,Dr.Hibberd,Bowlarama,etc...
lol back to the drawing board !!!!!
