Don't know how many people will read this, but any input is appreciated. Here's the situation: I've been playing for less than a year, and indulged in a moderate amount of housefarming to get my Springfield to where it is today. If anyone who's readying their torches and pitchforks will hear me out, I was primarily doing it as a method to purchase all the land as rapidly as possible, and as soon as I did, I rebuilt my town as closely as possible to the "official" Springfield map. My town doesn't look great, but with the addition of decorations and some variety in buildings, I'm reasonably content with it. I didn't sell any of my superfluous buildings, but instead tucked them into my inventory. I haven't been tasking any of my characters, except in Krustyland, because I don't have all the land there yet. Until today, I was sitting comfortably on about six million in-game cash, when a certain really freaking expensive building comes along. My conundrum is, since I don't think any of my awesome neighboreenos would mind me reverting back to a massive farm, do I tear up several days worth of hard work knowing I'll have to fix it again whenever I reach ten million in "disposable" income, do I sell the extra houses in my inventory even though doing so wouldn't get me close to the cash I need, or do I just play the waiting game since the building I wish to acquire isn't limited time? TL;DR: I need about four million in in-game cash. Should I housefarm, sell extra buildings, or just keep everyone tasking and wait? Thanks for reading this, and for any good advice anyone has to offer. :D
Well if you've seen my previous posts, you know what I'd do. Calculate how much I can make under various scenarios using Excel and then see how long it would take to get the money I wanted. :) Said building is not limited time, so I can wait.- I guess that would depend on how much you liked designing your sf. If you enjoyed it and wouldn't mind doing it again then tear it up and farm away, if you thought it was a royal pain then I'd just wait it out. It's not like the sit n rotate is going anywhere. I don't think people would unfriend you for a little house farming.
- I find that I'm constantly having to redesign my SF as new buildings are added. You have to play the game in a way that benefits you (not your neighbours) the most. If you need extra cash, by all means house farm..you can even make a house farm attractive using fences and a few decorations a to create a gated community. Take a good look at your town, if there is an area that you're not particularly happy with, well thats a good place for a house farm. You can always take a screen shot for future reference if its an area you would like to re-create in the future.
- I posted on another thread about taking the tortoise's view of the game and that there is no real rush for non event items, but if you own the houses and your town isn't full, maybe you could add as many houses as you can and kind of take the middle road approach. I find house farming dull, but if you like the thrill of an economic game and this will bring you joy, go for it.

I am only playing since about 2 months now, but always housefarmed: first with brown houses, in the meantime with white ones. I sold my brown farm two times only to get back to it a week later. Since then I personally know i love the extra income and extra XP - and will continue to farm at least until I reach level 42.
If you are are already level 42, this would be no reason for you, but if you still have the houses, i would place them somewhere outside SF. If you feel like farming a day, just do it. If not, then they just idle around.
My 2 cents: farm! Cash never hurts - and even if you only buy and sell the bloodmobiles to get the XP...
I don't have house farms but L42 often still want XP to be able to max out XP for a chance for up to 3 donuts.
I am always working for free donuts.- Thanks to everyone for the input so far! :D Got a giggle or two as well as some very sound logic. Neglecterino, I thought I was in-depth for having a printout of "THE" map, but bravo to you for finding better ways to crunch numbers! *applauds boisterously* I don't really mind the tedium of farming, even though I don't particularly like how it looks, so maybe slightly less intensive farming with a good variety of decos is the way to go. I always try to keep a full compliment of neighbors, and quite a few of them (even the fellow level 42 people) do a bit of farming. I hate hate HATE redesign, but it's almost inevitable anyways, what with new content and future updates. The screenshot idea is good, but I've never been able to figure out how to do it on my device (stupid Galaxy Note!), but I still have my printout of the "official" Springfield, so if push come to shove, there's always that! *in best Dr. Nick voice* Thanks, everybody! :D

It's your thing. Do what you wanna do. I can't tell ya who to sock it to.
If I were me, I wouldn't put up the farm. And since I am, I won't. If I were you, I'd do whatever you would do. So you should do that.MusicBooks960 wrote:

Why do you care whT any of the Jabronis on this forum think it's your town do what you want! Iv been playing
Sence 8/12 I have the super colder cool brown house an a well desined house farm, plus I still have land which a lot of these people keep whining about not having! I won't dog anyone for how they play but not everyone is as geeked up about this game as others an it's all goodbaskethound wrote:

Ah jeez I love my Galaxy Note! Hold down the home button and power button at the same time and wait until the screen flashes. :)
On my SGT3 10.1 I have to rotate the device 90 degrees left (portrait mode) and then hold down the home and power buttons at the same time. For 2-3 secs. Then get the white flash around the border. The pic goes in the clip board and into an album in the Gallery app.- I have been playing 17 months and I was at £13mil before purchasing the new £10mil building. I have never had a house farm...
