I was not too sure as i have the ability to copy and save an URL in to my avatar control panel. I have a gif saved in there right now and it appears on my profile page, but does not show on my posts. I have been around here for a while (since the game came out and beyond), usually don't post often though. Mostly just keep up on whats going on.

You probably don't have the picture url put in right. What pic are you trying to use?- Now there's a long URL. Your problem is that the URL you gave is not a picture url- that means it doesn't end in a picture extension, like .jpg , .gif , .png and so on. It leads to a picture gallery showing on particular picture.
What you need to do is go to that URL, right click on the picture and either on "Copy Image location" which will copy the picture url directly or "View Image" which opens the picture by itself in a new window/tab where you can then copy the url.
