Beware. Ripped off. Terrible customer service.

Ill try to keep this short. On the night when the black friday deal was presented, i saw it as a good deal and bought 132 donuts to get the gold tokens. Something bugged in the process and and my purchased donut bar reset and i didn't receive my bonus 10 tokens. I've been back and forth with cs about 20 times in the past 5 days, sent all the proof of purchase and still they have done nothing to rectify the missing token.. I'm still waiting. They've told me twice now to log out of my game so they can replace my token only for them to come back and say they need even more proof.. I'm beyond frustrated with this. Has anyone else experienced this sort of situation? This is by far, the worst customer service i have experienced in a gaming company.

    Do a chargeback with your bank that issued the credit card used to make the purchase. If you are not happy with the service that you received, do not buy any more donuts in the future. This is a freemium game, you do not have to spend real world cash to enjoy the game. The only power you have to let EA know you are not happy is to withhold your money.
  • As has been pointed out before, this isn’t an EA problem. They can’t fix it. Check in with TheAppStore, Google Play, or whoever you paid for the donuts.

    Actually, if I understand correctly, the OP did receive the donuts, just not the bonus coins, so this really is an EA problem that they should fix. However, you are correct that they could contact the App Store and request a refund as only a portion of the package purchased was delivered.
  • Are you emailing with them? Because that is the worst.
    Phone or chat is better and so is EA help on Twitter. Try during US Central Time business Hours
  • Get a refund. Don’t go through the hassle of dealing with EA. I bought 300 donuts and didn’t get any donuts, but they took my money. I got refunded through Apple very quickly, no questions asked. That’s the only way to go.

    Yes. Hasn't involved money, but I've had the ridiculous runaround to provide "proof". I have a glitch in my game which overrrides the sound setting. I contacted them about it at least three times now, and each time I've had to provide evidence that I am indeed experiencing a glitch. The most amusing thing which was requested of me was a screen shot.

    Yes. For a sound problem.

    The bottom line is they can't be bothered to fix whatever code problem is creating the glitch. So they will continue to make me run around like an idiot gathering useless information while they go on another Starbucks run.

    Wonder why I won't buy donuts anymore?
  • Contact your App Store. When it happened to me & I got nowhere with EA,Apple refunded the money within 48 hours.
    Make sure you explain the problem in as much detail as possible - ie purchased (details) & that the item (s) were not received.
