Then wait.
It's not bs at all. In fact it is a good lesson to learn, you don't always get everything at once.
Wait 24 hours, 48 hours. The game will still be there. You will still be here.
Go do something productive in the meantime.
Agreed with Hank. Maybe completely redesign ur town go through friends towns and really SEE what their towns are, or do something that doesn't take technology.- I don't think this is meant to be completed over night or in a week, it's an expansion like land so it will take time to finish. Store the buildings that are being crammed together after the quest associated with them is complete, then putting back out once you have more tiles.
I'm enjoying this update, I was happy to see the beach opened up and have been designing that while waiting for tiles. - I don't hate it, but this is making the game feel more like a chore. After Whacking Day, and the complete grind it was, I was hoping to return to normal progression for a while. This update is taking the grind from a frenzy to low simmer grind. I don't know which is more annoying, for a lack of a better word. I've been playing since early Sept and it's been a good run, but I honestly don't know how much longer I can make it.
That said, this slow update does make it easier to send everyone on 24 hour tasks and not check back. But, that is not what I enjoyed about the game.
Oh well. - How can it be more of a chore than WD. Wtf? No way, just set your tiles when you do you Dailey tasks assignments, that's all I do, bit exaggerated mate, WD was rediculous the amount of time required, hands down beats squidport. This update is to keep you going with something and I tell you what, when level 31 comes,it will be awesome, new tasks new character aswell as your squidport responsibility. Personally I can't wait.
- The powers that be can't give you everything at once. Looks like they're in it for the long run. And it's summer. And they probably need time to program the next update. And they have to look for a different "phase" of game play.
I like Squidport much better than Whacking Day (which was fun for about the first week).
Over time, it will be fun to see what happens.
If you're bored with how slow the game is going, start an auxiliary town. Then it'll be a several days/few weeks before the tiles even get to be an issue.
Hurry up and WAIT! BillionDuck wrote:
They are making me hate squidport, that's for sure.
I've pretty much abandon working on it, for now... as I really cant do anything without tiles. I'm just playing with the beach and coastline a bit. That's different and keeping me entertained until lvl 31 is introduced.
I loveeee your avatar.- JedihntrNew SpectatorAt first I thought it was tedious and silly, making us wait so long for tiles, but after building for almost two weeks now I feel like the progression is just fine. I suppose it's because I still have plenty of land to buy and open land to develop, but the Squidport is secondary to me at this point.
- I've learnt to deal with the wait times by doing other things in the meantime. My Squidport may take a long time to complete. But the hell with it, I'm in here for the long run anyways.
Bring on Level 31 & Wolfcastle! - What is it with all these hate-threads? The whole game is meant to be a waiting game. If you are impatient, this whole game isn't for you! I loved Whacking Day, because it made me do something all the time. Squidport doesn't make me do that much at all, but I just enjoy the fact that this game got a huge expansion at all. I'm sure Squidport will turn out great when it's finished. And I don't mind it taking it's time. It would be sad to finish everything already...
I have played for nearly 7 weeks, and I only have Fat Tony's Compound and El Chemistry left to build (once the Post Office finishes in a few hours), I would be sad if I only had land and the occasional level update left to look forward too. Now Squidport will keep it going throughout the summer. I really like that.
Quit the whining. Better an update, even you personally don't like it, than none update at all, can't we all agree about that? - Agreed... Its not like Squidport is a limited time event, we can take our time and before you know it we will have more boardwalk then we know what to do with... then we can complain about that!
