Boardwalk pieces make me hate this game

Then wait.

It's not bs at all. In fact it is a good lesson to learn, you don't always get everything at once.
Wait 24 hours, 48 hours. The game will still be there. You will still be here.
Go do something productive in the meantime.
  • I got to say that I get a kick out of reading people complain that there isn't enough content with updates, or not enough updates in this game, but with every update that EA provides, there are as many if not more complaints about the content.

I agree that waiting for each Boardwalk piece is like Wating for Godo--for those of you who get that joke, good for you, you are educated---and very expensive especially if you are not rolling in the doe for each $7500 investment for new blocks. But, altogether, this is a hell of an update that will not end overnight and offer more depth and longevity to the game helping to maintain the players interest in the game.

I was surprised that it would take a day and a half to create a tile, now from what I read, it may extend to two, but this update has more buildings, characters, albeit performers, and expands the map making it probably one of the most extensive and fulfilling updates yet.

I have also spent a ton of money into this game so I feel that my comments and position are backed by my investment, and as far as it is my concern, I am just happy that new content is constantly an consistently uploaded to the game. Could you imagine spending the money you have, if you spent a lot, and or the time you have, which surely, we have all spent that in common, only to feel abandoned for a lack of new content.

The content may not be perfect, or even ideal with certain updates we have received in the past, but it is content none the less, which is EAs response for the money they are making from all of us and the acknowledgement, to some degree, of the time and loyalty we all have towards this game, which to me is better than those developers that charge an arm and a leg for content in game, or the game itself, only to abandon the game for something new a couple months, or even weeks, after release.

Don't hate on me for saying this please, although I do expect some amounts of backlash since that seemingly is the nature of these forums, but no matter how much I may have incited you for my declarations and statements, you have to agree with the methodology that, "Something is better than nothing," and that is all there is to this statement.

So, enjoy it while this game still stays fresh in EAs mind and pocket, because inevitably, one day, there will be no more updates or new content for some new hot title that has everyone else's attention. Then you will be longing for those things that you may be complaining about now, and realize they weren't worth complaining about in the first place.

Incidentally, I wonder how many Norweigans are players of the game. I understand that incredibly boring long-paced shows (like 18 hours of swimming salmon) are popular there now....

So you mean all Norwegian like to see boring shows that last a long time and nothing really happens?

Yes, you are correct, we (I'm Norwegian) so enjoy the short summer season we have. Finally we are able to paint our houses again (if we need to), and we can relax and enjoy seeing the paint dry... It's so refreshing. But for those not painting, they always have the option of laying on the ground, perhaps catching a few glimpses of the sun, working on their tan and of course get ecstatic about the possibility to watch the grass grow...

I think this is the reason no one plays computer games in this country...

Anyway, I do play Simpsons Tapped Out obviously (or else I wouldn't be on this forum), and I absolutely love just watching the counts ticking downwards to completion.

I have spent money on this game... I love buying new buildings and characters. But I refuse to buy donuts to speed up the time for a stupid piece that just cost me 7500!!!!!!! I like the idea of squidport but this is bs. :x

People like you make me hate the forums. :D
  • By the way, I must add, you have a good post here PhoenicianSn :)

@JoshJHunter: A little harsh there, though I understand your point, and I see your smiley...

This update brought the game back where it belongs. In the "long term league".
Because of whacking day, the progress got mixed up and all the buildings where unlocked too fast. thats whats up and thats what everyone seems to have forgotten. so, everybody, chill. without the whacking day update, you probably still need to unlock fat tonys or something and built your squidport at the same time. level 30 players forget about the fact, that it is a dual process for lower level players.

Henn I think you've hit the nail on the head. I was just about to post my theory that it is the extremes that tend to throw people out. We've had a couple of events, particularly whacking day, that have just been relentless and so when you come back to a slower pace it is hard to adjust. I know sometimes I feel like I miss the busy pace and have to remind myself to enjoy what I am doing and take my time with it.
