- Mine once took about 24 hours to come through. Good luck :-)
- Thanks for the info. The first thing I did after noticing the Donuts didn't add to my balance was restart the app and even restarted my iPhone, but nothing yet. Interesting that it took 24 hours for some. I've checked my iTunes balance and it's still at $50, so obviously the charge hasn't gone through yet. Appreciate the info! I'll post later on if they're still missing.
- Nope, no donuts yet. As for it being an immediate purchase, I'm not sure. As said in this thread another user had it take up to 24 hours, and since it was an iTunes gift card there may be a delay due to verifying the card code was properly paid for by Apple verifying it's activation. Maybe. Or maybe not. Just don't want to buy another $50 worth only to find the first $50 charged to my iTunes credit (from the gift cards) and another $50 on my credit card. Eh, we'll see. I'll wait the 24 hours and if it hasn't appeared I'll try again.
- Weird, now my iTunes account shows my account at $0.01, which makes sense given the $50 gift card credit minus the $49.99 for the 900 Donuts in game. Except, in game, I still only have 2 Donuts. Hope this doesn't take much longer, I'm anxious to start building my donut buildings and a few characters.
Definitely the last time I use a gift card. These are a pain in the *. DIrishB wrote:

Why do people attach their credit cards to their iTunes account. That's just an accident waiting to happen. :(- Right there is your problem.
There's tax on the donuts, - Common mistake. iTunes is a bad way to buy donuts in the first place since you only get a directed amount because there is tax on donuts so if you only have 49.00 for 900 donuts it won't work iTunes need 1 dollar extra for processing (but that returns via purchase after 24hrs) and tax depends only which ones yous buy.
Example 300 donuts is 19.99 plus tax is 21.76 and extra dollar to confirm so you will need 22.76 in account and you will get charged 21.76 and have the processing dollar still remain in your account
Boatload of donuts is 2400 donuts for 99.99 plus tax is 108.86 and extra dollar to confirm so you will need 109.86 and you'll get charged 108.86 and have the processing dollar still remain in your account
It's werird they have a different process they make sure they have their money so if your trying to get the 49.99 donuts tax mite be somewhere around 5 dollars just to be safe keep an extra 10
EA really has away with this like com on really tax on donuts ?? But ya that's the reality. sherryt07 wrote:

Well, simply put because it's the easiest and most efficient way. I've had my credit card linked to my iTunes account for years without any problem. I'm sure it opens up the possibility for fraud, and I know it opens up the avenue to accidental purchases, but in the case of the latter Apple support is really good at solving any problems. As for the former, my bank and Apple support together can handle that (if it were to happen).
But how do you buy items in freemium games like Tapped Out? Do you use gift cards or some other alternative, or are you strictly a free player?katehutson wrote:

Ha!
I've bought plenty of items for other freemium games in the past and as far as I can remember there was never any tax...wait, is there? Now I'm 2nd guessing. But Apple is based in CA which has no state sales tax...hmmm. Ah well, if worse comes to worse and they refund the $49.99, I'll just buy a smaller donut package.Land0fComedy wrote:

Ah, crap. That's strange, I thought they couldn't charge tax on digital purchases, only on software sales made in a store. Ah well, worse comes to worse I'll buy a $5 gift card to cover the tax, then. Should be only around $3 if it's based on my state's sales tax (6% in FL).DIrishB wrote:
