Slowly but surely more and more towns that I previously was blocked from are now one by one each letting me in. Just have a tiny bit of patience. EA has had a lot of unacceptable bugs, but this ain't one of them. This is simply a very temporary very short term slowdown of just one single new feature because millions of people are in the processof getting served updates right now. This is an entirely reasonable situation to expect. By this time tomorrow I bet the VAST majority of updated app towns will allow you in.

The whole premise of the update is to be able to visit 'friends' & collect cards/hearts. If you can't do that, then I would class it as unacceptable. If I put a piece of software out to one of my clients & it couldn't do what I told them it would, & I wasn't forthcoming with when it would actually work, I'd probably lose my job!
