I love events but I really, really loathe having to search streets for characters to tap during my neighbour visits. It takes SOOOO long. Looking forward to going back to tapping buildings!

Because the casino games and gamblers are still generating crafting materials, I'm guessing the update will be tomorrow

Have you tried the app store? Note it may not show under "updates" you will have to search TSTO, and then when you click the Tapped Out app, it will show you there's an update.

I tried App Store and have searched TSTO but no update available.

again, there is NO UPDATE YET.
it'll hit the store later AS USUAL.
It's also almost time for the app update usually unless cause of DSt or w/e it postpones by 1h
