- For me it's not so much the character as much as the total cost. I would love to get Barney's bowlerama but that's 250 donuts. If he was a more reasonable cost say, for example, hundred donuts, I would be more inclined to spend the money. I just can't bring myself to spend $20 for one item.
- Homers bro with the car homer designed....... actually they could do a whole level on that...... like unky herb take kids for day and homer design car.......
and the canyonero car  that could include marge getting busted and attending court etc. - Freddy Quimby and his chowda
Helen Lovejoy - won't someone think of the children?
Obese homer in his mumu skin
Crazy old man who likes to pull his pants down
Gummy Venus de Milo
Stampy the Elephant
Richard Simmons robot
Gerald - Maggie's enemy with the unibrow
Sideshow Cecil - I had disco stu at the top of my list, and now that he is here, my life is complete

its not just the per item cost, which is remarkably expensive, but the total cost of building the town that is absurd.
i started this game because i wanted to take a stab at building an authentic Springfield. but that appears impossible without spending over $100 on donuts. and that's only with the most efficient bulk purchase, laying out all at once not cumulative!
the game is I obviously designed for the wealthy, which isn't me. and since no amount of skill will affect this game, it's only for those who can buy their way through life.
EA's disdain for the unwealthy user is really clear:
- donuts are almost impossible to accumulate... and wasted on mystery boxes. I DON'T NEED ANOTHER PARKING SPACE OR TREE!
- impossible to collect enough gift bags for your friends in the Xmas theme. so i feel just as bad as i do shopping for real life presents!
- the most interesting landmarks in Springfield can only be bought, not earned
i have spent, and may spend again, Google play gift cards I've received. but there is no reason to spend a dime of real money if i can never really complete the town without spending well over $100. total cost to play this game should not cost more than a console game disc. the disc, not the console!
EA's thirst for cash is a real turn off. it's like a football to the groin each time i play it. it's sad that this is the only Simpsons game available so i have to live with it.
but thanks for asking this one "skin flint's" opinion. kevinmoses600 wrote:
I can't see them bringing in Lionel Hutz, Troy McClure, or Lyle Lanley because they were all voiced by the late great Phil Hartman.
As much as I would like to see them too I just don't see that happen and that's alright because I understand why.
However all the other ones on the list make total sense.
My List:
Dr. Marvin Monroe
Crazy Cat Lady
Side Show Bob (Permanent)
Gil
I wouldn't mind seeing a Stonecutters quest line with appropriate buildings and added characters
EA has hinted off already a Monorail, Permanent Sideshow Bob & Stonecutters. So we'll be seeing them sometime in 2014. And I'm sure Lyle Lanley will be added along with the Monorail.
Also Playmates made action figures of both Troy McClure & Lionel Hutz through their World of Springfield line. And both of those figures had sound clips when placed on different playsets. These figures were made way after Phil Hartman's death. So if Playmates had no problems getting rights with Hartman's estate & Gracie Films/Fox. Then surely EA should have no problem considering they have a better relationship with Fox & Gracie Films.- bluyoshi88810Seasoned NewcomerSince people complain about a lack of more land for buildings, I have decided to focus on characters/decorations only (with only a few buildings I'd like to see return).

Donuts add up. Halloween gave away dozens of donuts if the non-wealthy player sought them out.
Every 2k in Goo over the top prize yielded 1-3 donuts. 3 donuts was easily gotten with $100,000 of "free" cash.
You could find donuts everywhere, visiting friends, tapping ghosts, etc
Got 10 for a trivia question
Last Christmas there were stockings for donuts.
There have been random days of 10 donuts, during whacking day was the last one I can think of.
The only thing that is required to amass donuts is dedication to the game. Just need to visit your friends. You can also create donuts by abusing the XP system. Basically just buy/sell weather stations until you level up. It's not difficult at all.
The mystery box is a complete waste. Being a frugal player you should know that. You get a FREE one every 5 days anyways. Spending other donuts on them is like expecting to hit the lottery. Lightning doesn't strike every time.
If you've been following the forums, you should know there's a speculated Gil sale and will offer 25% more donuts for all of the packages. It may appear around Christmas Day (Dec 25th).
I don't know why people assume they can only buy the smaller packages of donuts. The boatload is easily acquirable. You simply stack the Google Play/iTunes cards. There are many sales throughout the year for 5-15% off. Buy the level you can afford, then DON'T spend it. Wait until you acquire $100 (+tax) worth of gift cards, then buy the boat load. Obviously it's impossible to do this before the sale, but by planning and saving it can be easily done in the future.- I bought donuts for the first time during the Halloween event, it was purely to get either kodos or kang, I didn't realise that the Victorian spaceship would give you one free!
Once done I had enough donuts left to get one premium character, I had to go for boobarella :) - Captain Lance Murdock with Springfield Gorge
Imagine his tasks? Also, we'd get the best task of all: Homer attempting to jump the gorge and failing.
