Sorry, but that doesn't gibe. 4 AM Eastern time is 3 AM Central time, and I already stated that at 4:30 AM I still got the previous day's first task. And no, I didn't log in after midnight - I was asleep.
It's not just a matter of trying to fix it - I want to know WHY. - hmm, do you have notifications turned on? I don't know if the app doing something like notifications would be enough to trigger the timer. Alternatively, it's a glitch like the lack of highlighting in the 1,2,4 hour jobs which hit certain people randomly (it's probably not random, it's probably something to do with what server you are on at least with respect to highlighting)
(I shut down my tablet at night and have notifications off I don't know if that matters.)

I'm one of those people who gets notifications even when they're turned off.casby wrote:

And what you said made me come up with what may actually be the problem with that...casby wrote:

I never shut down my tablets. I might need them and it takes so long for them to boot back up - especially the Nexus. - Minor correction: 5am CDT is 10am UTC, not 12am UTC.
- Also, 8am UTC is the point when the countdown timers for the next act, new prizes, etc. change over. That's 4am EDT / 3am CDT / 2am MDT / 1am PDT. I thought it used that time for changing over the days on the task length calendar, too, but I haven't been able to confirm it myself.

This all all too confusing!
The time converter I used said they were the same time. - wadebearRetired Hero

And it occurred to me this morning: if that was the case then I wouldn't have gotten the correct times on Friday when I started after 8 AM. - This time converter gives a nice visual comparison, just add whichever time zones you want to compare: http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/

Well no wonder I've been confused! I've been thinking that Daylight Savings time is in the winter... And that's what my Husband said when I asked him, too!
I want to go back in time and beat the hole out of the idiot who came up with the whole idea of Daylight Savings Time. It's just a nuisance!dustandair wrote:

I got a "yesterday" time at 4:30 AM CDT on Friday, so that can't be the changeover time. My money is still on 5 AM. I have to be up before 6 AM on Tuesday so I guess I'll find out then... - Im in a +10GMT timezone (no daylight savings).
My daily tasks start at midnight locally, and "change" to the next day's tasks for what's left at 2pm locally (4am GMT). (Tasks before 2pm are OK, tasks generated after 2pm are next day's. I've tested.)
The only thing that adds up is that it changes at 10hrs before midnight, and I have a 10hr difference between us and GMT. But I would've thought it would change at 10am (GMT+10hrs), not 2pm (GMT-10hrs).
For Stonecutters, it made sense. The tasks regenerated at 10am local (midnight GMT+10), and rolled over to the next day at 6pm (midnight PST, or 8am GMT). But nothing lines up with this set, well that I can see anyway. :?
Meh - I've added in the modified times into my TSTO spreadsheet. It makes some days shorter, but a couple of others 18hrs long!! But I know which are which, so I can start a task at midnight and still make that day's tasks.
