Cogwheels

I dont care about the canon, never gonna spend donuts to see the loop in gold instead of silver...
Only spend donuts on caracthers with or without tasks and cool buildings.

So they can keep there cogwheels, now just over 18000 bells and only 1 prise to go and thats the important thing for me "bragging" rights i care less, lvl 1 or 100 i dont give a ***
  • Donuts are way too rich for my blood when it comes to this as well. Just bottled six elves & five of them had cogwheels. I'm hoping this trend continues. I was averaging about 30% through the part 2. Factoring it that way makes level 20 a pipe dream. It's just a geeky tribute I am hoping for. I spend upwards of 6 hours a day on this mind-numbing adventure so geeky tributes seem justifiable!
  • I don't think using donuts for cogs is the wisest use of your currency. The cogs get exponentially more expensive with every upgrade, making those top levels excruciatingly expensive.

In the end, I would think you would regret spending those hard earned donuts on what is essentially a vanity item.
  • If you absolutely must have a gold cannon in your town, and you can afford it, then sure, go for it. But as others have said it's definitely not necessary for completion of the event (in terms of getting enough bells) and it's only going to help slightly as far as the leaderboard goes (because you'll start being limited on elves to shoot if you go too fast). So it's not the most efficient use of donuts from a gameplay standpoint.

In another thread, I worked out that going from level 1 to level 20 with donuts alone would be around 12,000 donuts, or $400 at Gil deal prices. Obviously it will be less than that if you're starting from a higher level, but remember that the highest prices are at the top end, so starting at level 10 will not cut the price in half.

(If you only want the gold cannon and don't care about the bells or other gameplay effects from getting it sooner, then you should wait as long as you can before spending donuts, to make the most of the free cogs you get from elves and reduce the number of donuts required.)
