If only EA awarded the community prizes based on the number of threads created on this forum about how we are not going to get the community prizes.
that would be better then the ridiculous amount they want to unlock them, i was reading a site that the last one needs 2.4 billion.
This forum is only a few off from that target in the number of threads about prizes too high / not enough gift bags.
I think that there are more threads about prizes being too high and the wheel being rigged than there are add me threads on the finding friends forum ;-)
Really? :?- I think this was just a mistake by the coders. I think it was meant to be Gift Cards, not Gift Bags that were counted. This would be in line with Halloween ---- Goo (the Gift Card of Halloween) was counted not Gremlins (Gift Bags). I really think the intention was to make it Gift Cards, it would make much more sense.

hardly any of those community prizes for the Christmas update will be unlocked because they are set far too high.
450,000,000 for the first one and as of the 17th it's just under 220,000,000. the amounts need to be reduced. if it the first one is 450 million whats the next one going to be?
don't know why they decided to set them so high when the halloween update didn't set them anywhere near as much as they did this time.
The funny thing is, with the Halloween update, it was total amount of ghosts collected, equivalent to what gift cards are now. Instead, they switch it over to gift bags, which is equivalent to the gremlins in the halloween update. Not only did they raise the total needed for the community prizes, they changed which currency gets us closer to that total, so we'll be LUCKY to get to the second prize before January.- everyone whinging about the thread there is quite a simple solution.. don't open it and post in it.
posting in it only bumps it to the top for more people to view it, to comment on it or to whinge about there being another thread on the topic.. not replying to it just makes the thread die off
expect repeated threads on a forum and besides i didn't search beforehand to see how many threads are on the subject. baddazoner wrote:

Actually, this is the only forum I frequent where I need to expect repeated threads. But I wish I wouldn't. If I was a mod here, I would melt threads together more often, lock redundant threads, or even delete a few.
What is even more interesting is that you say you didn't search beforehand? Why not? You obviously knew you could have searched, as you say so yourself, and then you could have posted in one of the numerous existing threads. When you don't actually bother searching, or even take a look at the topics for the first two-three pages, then YOU have to tolerate the whining you receive about starting a redundant thread.ccape584 wrote:

I don't think it was a mistake, I think that they realized that the Halloween event, the community prize total didn't really reflect any kind of community thing. You could get Goo without ever visiting neighbors. They are trying to encourage people to visit each other's towns, so they made the community prizes contingent on doing that.baddazoner wrote:

Sorry, but no. Not taking the time to search opens you up for derision and mockery. Welcome to the internet.
