I think it's a fair question. I knew about the glitch, and only checked in a few times a day for 15 or 20 minutes each, when the bobs were plentiful - otherwise it wasn't worth the effort. And I always like to know how the freemium players do, too, since I tend to throw donuts at problems.

I threw some donuts too. :) I was 2-3 days late starting the event. So I spent 20 donuts on strategic rushes. 8 of them to get Brandine ready to work the event tasks. I also bought two of the event characters.

I didn't know about EB/FC/glitch either but I think I'll be able to craft everything I want. I'm going to wait until tomorrow night and get what I can. I'm looking forward to the end of the event...especially the Cecil tasks. I miss seeing all my Springfielders wandering around so much that I'm going to put them all on outside tasks when this is over.

Too late for EB, but relentless grinding away has paid off. I just need to get the sign and I'm done. Of course, my index finger is raw and my husband is peeved I spend more time with Homer than him. I need a rest from this..

What't the point in giving us gobs and gobs of one crafting item that we can't possibly use up? It would make sense if we could covert or trade it with other players (or both). I had my fingers crossed that the Farmers Market would be an avenue to do one or both of those. Convert at a loss ratio - say 2 corn for 1 Fertilizer, 3 corn per DNA, 4 corn per Theater Mask (etcetera). Or use it as a portal to trade with other players... (not that trading Corn would be any use since everybody has gobs of it...).

Ok, done venting. (For now...)

This idea would have been awesome, especially if it had been tied to the farmers market or any of the Monsarno buildings. Even at a four to one trade getting rid of unusable corn for fertilizer would have been a nice option. Maybe someone in the dev team might take notice and consider that for the next "crafting" event.

Still trying to craft the Bob sign. Heard about the glitch but couldn't get it to work, oh well. I'm happy with what I got.

Got everything including:

12 cactus patches
6 cane fields
6 opera house seats

I am going to be right on the edge here of getting 1 of everything (except for the wall which i dont care for). I need 9000 DNA to get the homer decoy and the welcome bob sign and i am at 8031 with 1 day left. I think i have been averaging about 980 a day so it is going to be really close. The only thing that might save me is having off work Memorial Day so I can squeeze out probably 1 more round of 3 hour DNA tasks. This is by far the closest, and most frustrating, event that I have seen so far since playing this game (well excluding the wheel but that really wasnt a grinding event)

Got one of everything except the wall.
Multiples include 3 ticket booths, 3 cane, 2 cactus. A few more cactus & cane might be nice, we'll see how it goes in the last 24 hr stretch 2moro!
