Agreed. Normally I would be saying "Dont panic" but it looks like it will take me 3-4 days to get to lvl 3. I hope this event doesn't turn into a nightmare.

I think you should upgrade your building first before crafting, because I think you also get a couple of crafting items for free on some of the levels.

Where are we supposed to get corn and fertilizer besides characters tasks? I don't know. I found a couple of mutant pears with mouths sent by a neighbor, so how do those fit in?

I think those are the mutant seeds - I sent some at that point in the quest, haven't received any yet but it's early. That's how you get on the leaderboard.

I am not sure how we get the mutant seeds other than buying with donuts - anybody know? (Other than the first batch that came in the quest line).

I'm also at sea. But fortunately, I don't give a tinker's darn about ANYTHING except Sideshow Bob. And I'll spend donuts to get him if I must and skip the rest of this arglegarble.

Meanwhile, I'll just keep doing tasks and not worry.

Just to help figure out additional details here's the crafting totals:

Cane field: 4500 fertilizer, 1400 corn
Smokehouse: 8250 fertilizer, 2500 corn
Farmer's market: 15250 fertilizer, 4600 corn

TOTAL Fertilizer: 28000
TOTAL Corn: 8500

Definitely need to prioritize fertilizer task in characters with both corn/fertilizer tasks. I too am going to focus on getting the market first.

I think there is a chance of getting them when you kill the mutant corn (this events equivalent to Feds, bunnies, gremlins, etc.)

I get corn when I tap the tall, skinny, wandering vegetables that show up.

Ooh - that makes sense - so far I've gotten both corn and fertilizer, will watch for the mutant seeds when I tap the mutant vegetables.

I rushed a bit, but when it started for me it was hard to get corn. Now I have a fair bit and finding am getting less fertilizer.

You can get corn from:
- mutant seeds friends drop in your town (random chance of fertilizer or corn)
- from mutant vegetables (corn stalks) walking around in your town. Same as seeds what they drop will be random. Unlocks after Lisa completes Chaos She-ory Pt. 1
- sending characters on task to earn corn, Gluttons have 16hr task when you get Monsarno to level 2, Youngsters have 4 hr task when you get Monsarno to level 4

EDIT: just got notified that I got 2 corn from the mutant seeds I dropped in a friend's town.

I think I'm frightened auntie em....I usually come to these boards to get some guidance on how the event runs but looks like the regulars on this board have t figured it out yet ..? oh boy !

Crazy, but exciting! Can't wait to drop weird things during neighbor visits. :)
