Does this mean no content update till after Aug 4

Nobody here knows when the next level update or event will be. There have been times when EA put out new levels within a few weeks, and other times it took them a few months. And as for events, there really aren't any guaranteed ones coming up until Halloween. So there are your historical parameters for the guessing game.

Maybe not the exact day as it could also be any of the other days that week as well but yea you could be right.
