Donut Reimbursement

I was just over 1000 snakes short to getting the motel and was not about to spend all that time and not get all the rewards so I bought the donuts to complete the motel. I have the same feeling as everyone else and would have never spent the money for the donuts had I known they were planning to extend the deadline. Where was this extension for the other holidays where I was short?

Those of us who had to use donuts at what we thought were the last moments of the game, have every right to be upset. There were never extensions for the other events. We whacked snakes every day as well as you and for me it was many times a day. And how many of you get booted out of friends towns (while trying to whack) multiple times stating "connection" issues? That made it almost impossible to get the amount of snakes in time to get the motel. And how many of you that are bashing us have HACKED phones or iPads???? :evil:

I'm another pissed player. I used my donuts to get the last couple prizes as I never would have made it by the 9th but by the 16th I should have been able to finish. But it was too late and I used donuts. I will contact EA in an attempt to get my donuts back but I feel it will be a wasted exercise.

As of right now, there's still no notification of the Whacking Day extension on Facebook.

No one should get re-imbursed.
I am sure people feel angry, but it is marketing. Those who were willing to pay for donuts if they had not completed did so, now there is an extra opportunity for others.
When I started whacking day I calculated that it would be tough so I purchased the additional licence and a few snake 'generators'. I was hoping to get a few whacking box prixes and some donuts back. As it happened I just managed to finish the 10'whacking day boxes before the original deadline and I got 5 donuts all up.
Of course if I had known about the additional time I would not have purchased all these items with donuts.
I accept that this is how I play the game. Shoulld I be reimbursed as I made decisions based on the original deadline... I think not, it is no different for anyone else.
Move on - we all make purchasing decisions based on what we can afford and really want.
I am always amazed at the amount of complaining about EA on this forum .... Really you do not have to play the game... The fact is they have made a great product we all love .... If we didn't we would not purchase donuts and not play.

If those that bought and spent donuts to finish get a refund, then I would like fair compensation in the form of donuts as a reward for finishing on time due to my hard whacking work. I would have liked to see it end on the advertised date as many players worked very hard for the deadline, but I guess its good that everyone will get to have everything. Its like we all get a "participation" medal I guess.

Not true. People spent real money that they didn´t have to. By not notifying us of the extension, EA essentially cheated a lot of people out of their hard earned cash. By creating a false scarcity they lead people to believe that their last chance to gain these items was to spend money on them, which wasn't true. Now, it may not technically be illegal, but it is certainly immoral, if done on purpose. If by accident, it is at the very least a humongous screw-up, and heads should roll for it.

No, we love it because it's Simpsons, not because it's such a great product. It's not. It's riddled with bugs and problems, so we complain. In the vain hope that someone at the high-and-mighty EA offices may actually deign to take notice and possibly even think about forwarding it to someone who may know someone who might actually be able to do something about it. Not to make anybody mad and mind you I'm more upset that it was extended than ended. As I keep reading people are mad that they spent donuts they didn't have to.......... That's the answer right there that they didn't have to spend them if they didn't offer the option to buy them with donuts like the other events would people be on here mad about the fact that they just didn't get them somehow I don't think so. And honestly I know everybody is different but the only prize worth it was tatum the sleep-easy is just weak and ms Springfield is only worth anything bc there aren't enough women in the game as is. Wd was fun at first but let's be honest it just needs to go now and next year make the prizes not easier but less snakes to attain
