Double-Hauntings: How Were We Supposed To Know?

Totally agree, but I see a lot of people here posting about un-friending people who've double-haunted, aren't haunting enough, aren't leaving enough gremlins, et cetera. Seems unfair not to give people the benefit of the doubt when the only way to figure out the most neighbor-friendly way to play is through experimentation.

I don't even unfriend people whose towns aren't haunted or who aren't visiting my Springfield, because I'm nowhere near the 100 friend limit (don't know how anyone has time to visit and tap around in 100 Springfields every day - takes me around an hour just to hit the 35 or so I've got) and I'm still getting money, XP, goo, gremlins or even an occasional donut from visiting their Springfields, whether they're visiting mine or not.

GAH! Now I'm reading a thread here that says double-haunting provides double goo for both the haunter AND the friend! :shock:

When I click on a double haunted house in my town I do not get twice the goo. Plus it doesn't tell me who visited. You need to click on an unhaunted building if you want friends to know your visiting. Otherwise it says haunted by ghosts. That's why it's good to know your neighbors and not pick up random invites. Everyday I'm visiting. I'm making my rounds to neighbors who I know visit and not only leaving goo but gremlins when I can.

I'm not double haunting, but I'm also not keeping track of my neighbors who haunt me. There may be a few who don't know and double haunt in my town, but my goo is progressing nicely so I'm not worried.

Theres been plenty of times ive been looking for my neighbours haunts in my town but only get 1-2 i know i have been double haunted, i try not do it myself but there has been times ive accidentally done it.

Yeah, I'll occasionally do it while trying to tap on a ghost.

Especially when your trying to catch a ghost. :)

Personally, I'll double hunt for a couple more days. October is going to be a really difficult month for me and my time is essentially a luxury at the moment so I'm trying to finish with this event as fast as possible. :oops:

Afterwards I'll visit only my "regulars" who need help and I'll leave their gremlins roam my town freely. 8)
