I did so. Doesn't look that good, but I am yet to put them on the beach. Need some hedgehogs and barbed wire too.

This info is probably up here somewhere, but did you know that you get the full defensive % even if an object is half in/ half out of the cyan colored boundary?

I experimented to make a snakey shaped trench with some corner pieces. Then realized the cyan border is only 3 grids wide, but you can get away with placement as long as part of it is in bounds. Tried with a fence & dragon teeth. Both yielded full bonus % with only partial placement.

I have a feeling the area might also expand for act 2 and 3... :)

I think there are different structures to defend in act 2 and 3...

I don't know what area they mean either. Near the landing zone? This is what they look like.
