- i completely and whole-heartedly agree. I understand the need for warnings on decorations as it could cause lag or rendering issues (especially for older devices), but with all the new land given (thank you) and new items, it is time to at least raise the cap to at least 10,000-15,000 rather than the current 7500.
- 4junk3000New SpectatorYou're at the limit? Which is what, 7500 now?
Because I've been playing for years and my town is well decorated, and I'm still below 6500.
But i also don't have surplus redundant items laying around, like many people do. I don't buy 30 of something new and just line them all up in a block.
I also don't over garden. Some people shove massive amounts of flowers everywhere. It's just not realistic.
I'd like to see your town. Maybe you send me a friend request?
Anyone else hitting that limit where you think you need the ceiling raised, you're welcome to send one too.
Because the few neighbors i have, who ARE above 7000 and actually close or at the limit, are indeed crushing my device. Their towns take longer to load and are very sluggish to navigate.
Those towns also have more graphics and scrolling issues when i visit, which tells me the limit is appropriate for today's standards of mobile tech. If they had more than the limit, i suspect the game would become unplayable and you'd have to force quit out of their town, then decide if you should drop them as a neighbor, which would be much more annoying.
So I'd like to see who really needs their limit raised, vs who is just all anxious over irrelevant warning messages.
If you're above 7k, i bet your town is sluggish too. Don't shoot yourself in the foot, putting in so many decorations that no one wants to be your neighbor. 4junk3000 wrote:

here is my town, you can judge for yourself if I over decorate (I wouldn't want to crash your town, but if you want me as a neighbor, feel free to send a request). I do not have any items stacked in a corner just to raise my multiplier or for any other reason. I do think it should be reasonable to be able to display every building (which I have done)
BTW, whether playing on my iPad Mini 2 or my iPhone 6 Plus, I do not have any lag. I am currently at 7400 items and have hit the limit at least 6 times in the last month, having to replace trees and other decos with water/rivers

http://i.imgur.com/lomk80u.jpg- I have hit the limit, removed about 100 or so items, continued playing and hit the limit again. I then removed 100 or so items again, trees, shrubs, little items I would not notice. Unfortunately I will have to do this again sometime soon as I build the monorail track.
It would be nice if it was increased.
By the way, great town Brett. empathy77 wrote:

thank you
I just do not think this is an unreasonable request given that the limit has been in place at this cap for 3 years (didn't they set a hard cap during Whacking Day at 3000 which caused a mob protest and a month later they upped it to its current level?)brettolmsted wrote:

I see at least two to three trees that aren't necessary
But seriously, nice town Brett  I'm a little jealous- jukan00New Spectator100% agree. Please raise the limit. I don't want a barren/sparse town!

Agree - cool town! I haven't reached the limit message but "only" because I haven't had any time to do much lately. Too many long timers complaining for it not to be a problem.- Definitely! Raise the hard limit!
I am at the 7500 limit, my town is not sluggish on my device, and if my neighbors have problems visiting they can delete me and find plenty more neighbors with smaller towns suited to their needs. (please don't tell other people how to play their game)
This limit has been in place for several years now, and we have had massive land upgrades since then, and the game seems to have been beefed up (used to get lag and crashing, until maybe around Superheroes or Terwilligers event)
Please EA! If i can't place any more items how will I buy more premium items and donuts  brettolmsted wrote:
