It's just my personal opinion, but I think EA might not offer the tourists to us. A lot of time has passed whereby they could've created a patch/update. Perhaps they're not going to re-issue them to the rest of the gamers. I can see them not removing them from people who already have them (or they'd have to issue them a donut credit), but I'm just getting the feeling that they won't be back for the rest of us. The event ended a while ago & the tourists were a timed premium offer. I agree. There was an issue with Duff Gardens leaving before it's end date and it didn't come back. I won't be surprised if we don't see the tourists again.

I feel the same way about craftable runway tiles.

I would buy them instantly if/when they are offered. I usually do with premium items but I was unable to log into the game the minute the take-down was released as I was teaching classes at the time.

The deal as it was presented here does seem very good, don't you think? 60 donuts for 3 characters with fun tasks is kind of a no-brainer (speaking for myself).

The problem as I see it is the tourists were never intended to be playable characters. We see this a lot. After a major event, often EA will offer some aspects of the event as an NPC. I'm reminded of the zombies from a Halloween update and the mutant plants from the Terwilliger update. So, if that is the case that the tourists weren't supposed to be playable, EA is in a tough spot. They can (1) release them as playable characters or (2) release them, but make them NPCs or (3) keep them out. All 3 are bad options for EA. (1) makes them look bad and sets a precedent that they don't want to do. (2) would make everyone who bought them previously upset as they thought they were getting premium characters and have EA change them to NPCs. (3) Makes them look bad too and puts them in a tough spot cause they would like to release the content to get users to buy and spend donuts, but the other options prevent them from doing so.
