Yes, you are right...guess thats the way to go.... but if you clear certain gold prizes, easter baskets replace them. So you will eventually get 400 eggs (common, uncommon) for 500 gold eggs occasion...

Your uncommon color eggs (for me it's pink) have a higher payout of golden eggs. I will be placing ALL of my common color eggs (blue) in my neighbor's baskets to collect more golden eggs. Once I've cleared a couple of the larger prizes from the golden boxes, the golden boxes will then give me eggs of whatever color (correct me if I'm wrong). Wash, rinse, repeat.
Almost broke my brain coming up with that one, but it's the only thing I can come up with since I don't want to waste any of my precious pink sprinklies on eggs for this event.
