End date of event

It sounds like you are at level 8 currently.

I wouldnt upgrade any further in this event considering how close we are to the end.
Thats my opinion. I stopped upgrading at level 7 and I've crafted everything I want and now am just stockpiling extra cactus plots for the future.

Do you have the time to devote to logging in every hour and putting the saints on a new task?
You can always craft what you want the most and then upgrade afterwords just in case we go till the end of june 4th and then get what you have extra resources for.
  • I hadn't read that part of the walkthrough until today. So far I've crafted the Farmer's Market and the Gas & Grub. I'm heading towards the boat next. I should get that but as for anything else... unlikely it'll be anywhere in the region of 20 items. I'm not bothered about the smokehouse so won't get to the Running Out The Clock task.

I feel really tired of this event. I've enjoyed the others recently but not really liked the crafting at all. Every other crafting event has ended with all the crafting items earned & in my SF. I'm mostly Freemium, my spends are on buildings not play, so I've been pleased to get event items crafted by working hard. I have really applied myself to this event and feel I'm getting nowhere. My husband gets up early for work so gets the tasks underway. Some days - the 16 hours of tasks days - have been a real drag. I kept up with it as I thought by now I'd be well ahead in my crafting, like I did in previous event, but I'm pretty certain I won't manage to get all the crafting items.

Either some people are getting many more clones & beans than me or they're spending lots of money on DNA, masks etc. I couldn't work any harder. The only way I could be in with a chance of crafting 20 items would be to spend lots of ££££. Not gonna happen.
  • Maybe EA got fed up of the posts saying this event was way to short I finished it with weeks to spare so they decided to give us one no one will finish just for the sheer hell of it.

I'll take it over Skinner-box eggs any day.
  • when you upgrading a building doesn't it say you're crafting it? So maybe that counts for the crafting tasks. When does all this happen? I tired to find the info on my own, when does this part kick in?

Upgrading buildings doesn't count towards the "Running Out The Clock" craft segment.

"Running Out The Clock" and "Building Toward The Sky" should trigger automatically once you've completed the Dame Underdunk / Mr. Burns quest line.

"Running Out The Clock" Part 4 appears to repeat if completed, so there's no incentive to complete these -- or no true stopping point.

It's just a way for EA to bridge any gap some hardcore players might have between the end of the main quest lines and the true end of the event.

Running Out the Clock part 1 starts when Phantom of the Opera part 11 ends. It started automatically for me as soon as I released Sideshow Bob from his 24 hour task. I don't have Dame Judith Underdunk yet so that quest line doesn't appear to need to be completed before it kicks in.

    It doesn't, sadly.
  • well this is going to be interesting. We've never had never ending tasks that cannot be completed before. are there more crafting items to come? It Says so in the crafting box. Maybe we get to craft wheels or boxes for chances of more crafting items ? Some deus ex machana that saves the day?
