Even more payout adjustments...

This is getting a bit silly now, I can't understand why they keep altering the amounts of currency items as for many it is difficult enough to complete each act, I guess that they can see something that we can't.

It doesn't really bother me as I'm constantly on playing this game but a few of my friends are already struggling to even get most of the prizes and now it will be even harder for them. :o

To be brutally honest, to me the prizes this time aren't even worth winning this event..

There is hardly anything that has a regular income payout..
Nothing (that I am aware of) has a multiplier..
The decorations don't seem to interest me and believe me when I say I've tried to make a go out of them..
Plus only a couple of characters and a skin which I doubt I will use..

As much as I enjoyed the start of the event, i'm just droning along to see what Act 3 may give, (although I know most of what's coming anyway) then i'll just limp it to the end....

It seems like I got more rewards out of the Pin Pals mini event than i'll get out of this...

Im with you. The few payouts are hardly worth kbocking yourself out for. Theres more value in the mystery boxes

I'm the exact opposite of you Dougie, I'm really enjoying this event and already trying to incorporate the new items into my current design or into its own special section and really looking forward to the pirate act, maybe I'm enjoying it more because I'm not bothered if an item has a multiplier or not and I've got that much game cash I'm not sure if I can ever spend it all lol.

I don't play the game for multipliers. Main event prizes haven't come with multipliers in the past either. I like the Egyptian prizes more than I thought that I would. I think it is rotten for EA to keep changing the amount of pay out during the act. There are already people concerned about not making the final prize. I guess because there isn't enough complaining then it must be too easy. At this rate, shovels are going to be worthless by the end of the event.

This could be where we differ, I only started in August last year and whilst I have managed to get to a 170% bonus, money is a bit thin on the ground for me, I only have a small town and haven't played a lot of previous events so have nothing that these decorations/items would blend in with, I mentioned in another thread that if i'd have been around for the casino event, then this stuff (and stuff from Destination Springfield event) would've been perfect for my own version of the Vegas strip...but hey ho, I will probably try for it all and throw it into storage as it may come in useful in the future...

As it is, I don't expect everyone to agree with me, we're all at different points in the game and am happy that people enjoy it, just inputting my perspective as a relatively junior player (10 months, geez, where did that go)...

I'm not looking for massive amounts of multipliers, I just recall things like the town hall square from last years THOH and BBQ pig from Homer the Heretic, just a little boost to make the effort seem a little more worthwhile, if you get what I mean...

But I'm not with you on mystery boxes though.... :lol:....All those vans and lard lads and I&S signs...yikes!... yes I may have bought multiples of other things and am waiting to get my first jet engine bike out of the vault, but the mysterious mystery that is the allure of the mystery box is a mystery to me....

While the items don't currently have multipliers, the trend has been to bring the prizes back as premiums, with a multiplier. The dud bombs we crafted in the superhero event wound up as multiplier items later on.

A trend I seem to have noticed though is that they'll bring back something that was in a previous event, with a multiplier, that's exactly the same as the ones you could craft or whatever, but only the new items will carry the bonus and all existing items do not, I came across this with chicken coops and windmills and the most recent thing I can relate this too is the giant mushrooms, I crafted some of those and they came back in this event with a very small multiplier, but only if you bought them for 2D, all previous ones didn't get a bonus

EDIT: there was something about Soccer nets recently as well, hopefully someone else can field that one

This seems to be true for crafted items or things you can get multiples. Unique items seem to be the ones that come back with multipliers if they re-release them.
You are correct about the multiplier items you mentioned in the other post but FYI the pig was from the Most Dangerous Game not Homer the Heretic.
