Feature request: character zoning

I think this is very doable. Have some kind of marker and then have a drop down list that you can select which characters you'd like associated with that marker and then place it in an area where you want them to wonder.

I've always wanted a fence to enclose characters, If they are within it they can't leave it or be assigned tasks that would require them to leave the enclosure. I think your idea is much more doable.
