I think it was your use of "only" which sounded braggish, even if you have some neighbors with more (surely you know if you have big d'nut spending neighbors or ones who use "means" to get further along...
again. start a thread asking about hats, no problem
start it with a "oh look at me I only have 50k when most people have 10% of that" doesnt sound very christmas-y either.
