Freddy Quimby: Civil Servant?
He's not one in my game.

- According to the list by LPN he is in the Civil servants list, I've just checked Freddy quimby in my town as he's wandering around aimlessly at the moment and looking at his job list it shows no jobs that earn event rewards.

My initial research confirmed him as a Civil Servant, but according to tstotopix he's a Celebrity.
I think being listed as a Civil Servant is one of those "somebody else says this so I'm saying it too" things. - He has been and currently is working for big business for 5 corn in my town along with the 2 cops, so he must be a civil servant. I just noticed that one of the characters I have (not Quimby) which had more than 1 choice did not have 1 of the tasks highlighted in yellow. Maybe that is the issue?
Edit1: The "Don't care about the future" task which earns fertilizer is not highlighted in yellow for any of my characters so far that I have seen. Need to look closely when assigning tasks, imo.
Edit2: Quimby just finished his task so I had a chance to look at his event earning jobs of which I have 4. Three of them earn corn and 1 earns DNA.
Gamble on the future, 12H, 8 DNA
Work for big business, 2H, 5 corn
Be sold to a private company, 4H, 8 corn
Help feed the hunger, 16H, 23 corn

I think you are talking about Mayor Diamond Joe Quimby, not his nephew, Freddy Quimby.wadebear wrote:

He's not showing the DNA task for Celebrities, either. and the one who is saying he is a Civil Servant is the game itself, as he is part of the Civil Servant character collection.- I called EA and they confirmed that Freddie is a Civil Servant, but the rep was unable to send him on a task to earn event currency. He didn't know why and had two suggestions. First, he thought there might be a limit to the number of characters that can be sent on this task, and second, he suggested I reinstall the game. I started this game last Autumn so I don't have nearly the number of characters many do, but has anyone heard of a limit like this before?
- I've not come across a limit like that while ive been playing best guess the EA rep simply had no idea, I would hazard a guess that it is just a bug that is in the event and they will either get around to fixing it or they won't, oh and just for information i have the game installed on multiple devices and the option to send Freddy on any event currency earning job is missing from all of them.

Oops, I did get my Quimby's mixed up. I don't know why Freddy is listed as a civil servant. What does he do besides freeload off his uncle, the mayor? He has been enjoying a priveleged life at the Quimby compound since the beginning of this event in my town. Maybe they should add a freeloader category. Does anyone remember Red Skelton's Freddy the Freeloader character on his tv show years ago? Guess I'm showing my age a bit... :P- Sorry, I messed up the quote in my previous message somehow.
