I believe the whole idea here is to slow down our acquisition of land while still giving us land to acquire. All the medium and high end players immediately buy any new land released, fill it with junk, then start squalling for more. By making EVERYONE wait until they've earned Land Tokens it slows everyone down to the same rate - and forces people to play to get the land tokens.
I agree, but I don't Like it :(
