Gift Bag Distribution Tip

I just give mine to my sibling 1st , then whoever has visited gets one - two GBs , and anyone who gave me GBs gets 5 if I have them to give. If you ignore my SF , you get SQUAT . simple .

I don't think I expressed myself very well in that first post...what I mean is, as soon as I see Neighbor X is the one who left me a gift bag, I go to Neighbor X's town and leave a bag of my own. Since we have access to visit neighbors' towns anytime we want, I don't have to wait till my usual "visiting hour". And this way, I know I'm definitely getting bags to everyone who left one for me.

While this means I'm visiting neighbors' towns here and there throughout the day (every time I get a gift bag), it only takes a minute or two each time and it's worth the peace of mind to know I'm not annoying any of my neighbors by unintentionally stiffing them on gift bags. :D

I know we're friends, indieauthorALH, but I don't have time to go a drop bags off when I see someone else did it. I can only do it during my very rushed visits or my 100 neighboring towns. I try to drop the equitably, but I will drop 1 - 2 more if I have them available for friends I know gave me some. I wish there were more to go around. I am not spending one donut on gift bags though.

I've been giving people gift bags and given extra gift bags to those who have given me some :-)

Tonight, however, I ran out of gift bags to give to people and I still owe 3 people some bags :shock:
I'm going to need to stock up but I'm not spending any donuts on gift bags - Especially
since I only have 1 donut currently :-)

I work for a doctor whose wife is very nice but a little absent minded wife...she was supposed to give us 50.00 itunes cards but we got 500.00 Happy Hols to us! i splurged on gift bags and gave everyone in my list 5 bags each...except one soul who has too many in their town. Now i am back to giving out what i can when i have it. Is it just me or do the gift bags seem to be slim pickings? Unless i spend donuts i don't even always have enough to give everyone 1 bag each.

no. that would be a waste of bags. there are definitely not enough to go round.

ive been giving 3 each when their 24hr cycle renews, but then going back to drop off the remaining two when i accrue them.

but ive been giving those last two out in order of who visited last, kinda like you described.

yep, just like real life, its hard to give gifts as youd like when youre not made of money.

i like placing my presents in some other open space by themselves, rather than just by the tree. or in the water! heheh

jenichu - I'm not really paying close attention to which neighbors are leaving me gift bags. I know they're scarce and it's a bother to try and divvy them up equitably when you've got a lot of neighbors. I'm just glad to see more people visiting my town...it had gotten pretty slow after the Halloween event.

I shared this tip because I've seen so many comments here from people who say they're dumping neighbors who don't reciprocate on gift bags. Not many of my neighbors post here, as far as I know, but for all I know lots of them are thinking the same thing, so I've been trying to find a way to keep on top of gift bag payback without having to make a career out of it. 8)

I like this system. I'll use it. Though with the names not alphabetical, it's hard to find the person if I have lots of friends. If they're not going to use the alphabetical thing, I wish they'd just have "list view" instead of only three towns on a screen. Easier to scan down a list than swipe sideways over and over through 30 screens, three names at a time, and most of the screen space wasted.
