Hey, Maxxspider -- get your meme ready! (I love that woman's affect ... and her scarf is priceless.)
emymarek, You said in an earlier post to eliansukke:
"But I will stand by my original point: it's wrong to complain about something that you've been given for free."
(BTW, you and I will need to agree to vehemently disagree on that issue. My parents never would accept anything inferior -- whether free or not. If my brother mowed the next door neighbor's lawn for free and did a poor job of it, he'd get hit from every side -- my parents AND the neighbor. I believe the snarky way of putting it was "Don't do me any favors". People weren't afraid to tell my brother that his work was crap. That was a value I grew up with. Never be satisfied with anything shoddily done, whether by yourself or by others -- free or paid.)
But back to that quote ... that it's wrong to "complain". I sincerely hope you won't mind (this is not a challenge, btw) telling me which of the items on my list below you would consider a "complaint." Because obviously you're not putting a muzzle on us. I know there's a line at which you would label something a complaint. Would you tell me which of these is a complaint to you? (I numbered them for convenience. Hope that's okay.) :)
TO PREFACE:
I purposely chose a non-event-related "problem" -- something long-term, about the game itself, and not about "events". (NOTE: Pretend the character finder wasn't there! Please!)
Pick the numbers of the ones that are not complaints, okay?
1. The untasked characters blend into the background for me. It's hard to put them on task. Anyone else having this problem?
2. The untasked characters blend into the background too much for us to easily put them on task. I wish they had made it so we had a way to find them.
3. The untasked characters blend in too much. Next time, I hope they realize their mistake.
4. The untasked characters blend in too much. They should fix that.
5. I can't find my characters. They should have made untasked characters visually stand out in the first place.
6. I can't find my characters. If they knew what they were doing, they'd give us a way to find them fast.
7. Don't they know we can't see the untasked characters?
8. What genius came up with the idea that the untasked characters should be impossible to see?
9. This is awful. I can't see the characters so I can't play the game. Do they expect me to be a magician?
10. They know we can't play this event without finding the characters, and we can't find them. This game sucks.
11. At least you can get into your game. (Couldn't resist, folks.)
12. Add me.
I know there's a line you'd draw. Is it the wording that bothers you? Because those all mean the same thing -- we couldn't find untasked characters. (Well, the first ten anyway.)
Nope. The wording doesn't bother me at all. I have no quarrel with your post, whatsoever. :)
The wording in those 10 options does not bother you. Good. Now would you answer the part I just changed to red?
Thanks.emymarek721 wrote:

Agreed! It's so sad to see how schools h ave taken the fun out of competition. And not just schools! Even in professional teams! We're so afraid of teaching kids that, if you work hard, and train hard, you can win! That 'w' word has almost become a 4-letter word! It's so sad.
I'm stunned. Have you not been reading the hundreds of complaints about the Easter event?
You think kids aren't being taught the work ethic???? I sort of thought that the work ethic was what the kids are DEMANDING in this Easter event. They WANT to work hard and get something for working hard.
<cut for brevity. See above for entire quote.>
Seems to me, from the complaints about this event, parents and teachers are doing a pretty good job of getting them ready for being productive, and for NOT expecting something for nothing.
I think you and I read something different in his post. It happens. :)
Here. Made it shorter. Took his post out. Do you stand by your words? I made 'em blue so you could spot them easily.- My goodness, it's been two days! Don't you think it's time to let this go? I realize that there are those who enjoy arguing. But honestly, I'm not one of them. Yesterday, I tried to answer peacefully so that this could end, but that obviously didn't work. You want to push the issue and continue arguing. Not me. I choose to decline in answering so that we could peacefully allow this to come to an end.
So, please... let's start the day off on the right foot. Okay? :)
And have a nice day. I mean that! :D emymarek721 wrote:

No problem. I'm not surprised you'd bail out when asked a direct question. At least people can tell what you do when you are in a corner
Just like C-Span.
Leaves one to wonder about your sweet "grew up on a ranch" story.
(The piglet was a nice touch.). ;)- Sorry... provocation isn't going to work. I hope you ALL have a lovely day!

I must say, OP, that if you want to let the thread fall off, I'd encourage you to stop responding in it.drumnman wrote:

Good advice. Will do. Er... after this, of course. :wink:emymarek721 wrote:

No problem. Our audience is the young people you tried to snow. Watch the "View" count. It's at 5,023 right now. I'll keep the thread bumped so those thousands of people can decide whether to take another look. ;)- Wow. 5,070. Almost 50 new views. In about 10 minutes.
We're on tenterhooks. wickedlittle wrote:
