Has Anyone Experienced this Kind of Freezing???

Mine freezes up or lags while playing, stops responding for a second or two and if I was trying to scroll across my town when it freezes, after it starts responding again it moves around a bit before settling down. It started with the Family Guy game, but moved to Tapped Out too. But I have also noticed it on my phone as well (I play mainly on my tablet) so I'm not sure if it's a device issue
