I'm just doing my visits now, if that helps. :P I think people may be getting worn out with the event drawing to a close, so that would expalin less visits.

Yeah it's a event burn-out. I have less visitors, and I have visited less too (well I went fishing and camping).
People tend to build up neighbor list for events, but gets to be a burden to visit 100 neighbors without motivational goals.
Edit: I just am happy to find something to tap. Some don't clear out their towns in a timely fashion.
