I'm just doing my visits now, if that helps. :P I think people may be getting worn out with the event drawing to a close, so that would expalin less visits.

More likely people are hoping for an Easter event with the update so are saving neighbour visits just in case. Tapping once sets the 24hr timer.
First I was tapped out after super hero's and wanted a break, now yeah this, just in case we get an Easter event.
