House farming? Come on... Be serious...

My boyfriend has literally 1000 blue houses when he collects he buys more land and builds more blue houses i'll admit i collect when the 8 hours is up and its gets tiring but when he is sitting on stacks every 16 hours it sure would be nice if i had the money plus his point is since the game is still ongoing and some of the stuff alone cost over 100,000 for one building. he says when he gets owning the property and done with his goals and has all the money he needs then he will take the time to actually build a SF.....and not to mention he has never purchased any donuts

Let me say that you can play in the way you prefer, but I cannot see the fun I this way of building the city..

Luckily I have also discovered some really fascinating cities out there.. Good job guys, houses with nice gardens, streets with schools and shops in a realistic way... Restaurants on the see shore with tables and flowers and a lot of nice decorations...
That is the Springfield I would like to build... Slowly... ;-)

opinions on this have been around since the beginning, I personally don't care for house or kwiki mart farming but is what it is. By the way welcome to the forum and the game. Events always bring the newer players in....

I hate house farming towns. it looks so ugly.

I'm level 35 and I only just started building my farm. Until I joined the forums and started adding friends, I didn't even know what a farm was, I was just doing my own thing. Once I have enough money to do what I want to do, I'll completely redesign my Springfield and get rid of the farm, until then I'll be adding to it whenever I can.

I don't judge people on how their towns look and I think it's really ignorant to do so. I play my game, my friends play theirs. End of.

I have a side town with a huge white house farm. Just over 1600. I started it to just pass the time between updates. It just grew and grew until it took over my entire map. I had all the buildings crammed into the corner up by the mountains to make space. I took it down for the Halloween update because it lagged to much. I'll put it back out after this update and add more thanks to the tiny land expansion.

My husband is a house farmer, as well as a decoration farmer, business farmer, etc. If he can purchase multiples of something, he'll do it and shove them all together in one block. When the mood strikes him, he'll go into his town and rearrange all the blocks. He has one small street over by Squidport where all his characters gather when they're off task, then he sends them back into the mass of buildings because he likes to "keep them off the street" and out of his way. His style is completely contrary to the way my mind works, but I've noticed he whistles while he plays, which means he's relaxed and enjoying himself. To each his own happiness.

I started a seconded town and still don't understand it. I'm building buildings immediately (it helps that I have the halloween extras. I also don't get the thing where you have to have all the land if you aren't going to use it.


In my main town I have built the susnsphere and working towards the million dollar items. I have enough money atm that if an update came now I could build the first building and have enough to build the second building if it came in the update like the DMV. I have had enough to buy decorations as I feel like. But then I also occasionaly buy donuts.

House farming is valid in a sense to earn money. My springfield is probably about 75% decorated, while the other 25% is covered in an organized house farm. I don't own all the land, I don't own all of the giant decorations yet, and I rarely have enough money to keep up to date with new buildings as they come out. House farming makes it easy to get money because I have no time to send my 50ish characters on missions every couple of hours. It's silly.

I can't afford to buy those expensive donuts. I have spent $120.00 more on this game, than I had planned on. As for house farming. I have allot of white houses. They generate allot of fake in game cash. EA now is charging a ton of money to buy new dwellings. Had I not had all these houses, I never would have been able to afford the Sunsphere. I'm saving up for the cubic zirconia, the giant magnifying glass, and the skyscraper made out of Popsicle sticks, and anything else, that may come my way. What's the difference, if someone wants to do this? It's their game, and they have the choice on how they want to play it. I can relate to the snakes, and you have every right to dump a friend for this subject, but not to put down someone for doing it.

I have a massive amount of land where I plant hundreds of seeds known as BlueHouseSeeds, I water them everyday giving them my love and attention, and they all grow and flower in to wonderful structures known as Blue Houses. So indeed I do house farm.
