I completely understand your point, OP, but I'm afraid it's highly unlikely to happen.
Admittedly, though, items offered for donuts rarely come back as free items later.
There have been a couple of times in the past year this has happened;
- Small Islands: the 'limited time' premium items that everyone was then given for free a few days later
- Tennis court: 'limited time' premium item during TapBall then available for SH currency in September
I think some players got a refund for the islands (and there are probably a few posts on the forum about it).
With the railyard and the shopkeeper's challenges it's easier to win free donuts so I'm happy to live with the purchases I've made.- I don't have the free one for what it's worth.

Build a bridge and get over it. If you buy a TV from Walmart and two years later they decide to give it away for free you're not owed a refund.
Sure. But if nobody does anything about it why bother buying premium?
Even if hell froze over and Walmart gave away free TV's, you might not be owed a refund but people will still ask/demand it. It's about being reasonable, not the law. Get over it.
Asking for a refund on something you bought two years ago is not reasonable. If you can't handle the fact that items you've purchased can and will come back around for a reduced price or free then don't buy anything and you won't have this internal conflict.
1WngdAngel271, poor thing. I've read your message history and I truly feel for you. Must be terrible to have such a grim perspective on human behavior; people thinking they're entitled and all. Enjoy your game!ItalianoRacer wrote:

Hey there players,
It's really cool for every player that has been gifted the House Of Evil. For free.
However, a lot of other long term players including myself have paid 45 donuts for this limited premium building in 2013 and 2014.
A donut refund would be the most logical solution in my opinion. EA doesn't agree. I need to collect some information or users with the same problem to prove it's unfair to long-term players that already put a lot of dough in the game.
Anyway, please comment if:
a) you've gotten a (donut) refund for an item that was previously premium
b) are having the same issue/complaint
c) got donuts back after a complaint
d) have something related on your mind
I swear some people take this game way too seriously. Let it go.

True. Bringing the tennis courts back certainly bit them in the butt!intbananas wrote:

Thank you for answering normally. This was the kind of information I was looking for. :)- I know that I've had the building for a long time and I honestly can't remember if I got it for free or not but why worry about such menial things, oh I also got caught out with the tennis courts as I bought two during the tapball event and now loads of people have many many of them for a few SH items but it really isn't worth getting stressed about, it was my choice to purchase the items nobody forced me to.

It's such a shame that some people use this board as a bitchfest and all they can do is provide snarky answers to reasonable posts/questions.
It's the reason I hardly post here anymore and a lot of long-term posters have simply disappeared. - They shouldn't refund because people who paid donuts have had this in their town for years.
I don't like the way EA makes previously free items really expensive premium items (like Maude's ghost). It's a good reason not to buy them.
