- I'm at about 5400 on a nexus 4 running lollipop. I get a slight delay when the town first loads to get everything, but the animations themselves are not laggy. My ipod 4th gen is much laggier with a way smaller game.
There was a time in the summer when people with bigger towns were super laggy on my neighbor list, or their towns wouldn't load or kick me out of the game. It seems like they've fixed whatever was causing that issue.
According to the extensive reading I've done on this topic, the absolute limit is 7600 (I think I found this on an old thread first on tstotopix, and then had it confirmed at another site (I can't remember)).
I've also heard of a couple of people who have lost their town who got close or maxed out their decorations. But there are a lot of people with complicated decoration heavy towns who have been playing a long time. - barryriddl474Seasoned NewcomerI've seen the warning many times. Currently around 6800 pieces and running fine on my Galaxy Tab 3.
- I passed it long time ago, but I actually think it's running slow due to the fact that I have so many characters in my town.
I have exactly 24 characters in my town not including the ones that don't do anything. Which I've taken all those out except for Leprechauns. All others that just walk around for decoration I took them out.
I have noticed that when I have about 1/2 of my characters doing some type of task that my SF game runs really nice.

I had a message last week at 6500 items. Game is still running smooth on latest iPad
That's a lot of decartions man!
I can only imagine what your town looks like! :Dbarryriddl474 wrote:

Again I dunno how you guys reached those numbers! Though I know what your town looks like. You definitely made it look amazing!- For the past two weeks I'm playing between 6.6-7k buildings and decorations. Everything is fine expect from when I have all my characters free. Then the game lags. So I free 10-15 characters per time and put them back to their tasks immediately. So far so good :)

Thanks AJ. Your town rocks!
On a side note, I had nuked on New Year's (I think), and had put most of my town back without a warning. I built one large 3D wall with "double layering" on the fencing used for the wall, and received 3 warnings for just the wall. - 4junk3000New SpectatorI got the warning at 4800 unexpectedly last week.
I remember getting the warning at 4700 and thought I had backed off, but apparently not.
But I'm not experiencing any lag on my Nexus 7 (2012) with KK4.4. I DID roll back from Lolli 5.0 though, it was a crash fest. No thx.
In fact no issues at all since this event kicked off. Pleasantly surprising. (Knock on...something)
It takes a while to load and sync the initial database, but no longer than it takes for my two slowest neighbor visits, 1Mastiff and Sandwedgeking. But they both are SERIOUS gardeners! (lots of flowers in their SFs) - I have over 6500. Game runs fine as long as I keep the NPCs in storage. If everyone is out wandering it lags a little.

It's tough just to plop a building down on an open piece of land and call it a day.
I totally agree with you on that one!- duncanbrow162New SpectatorEverything is fine expect from when I have all my characters free. Then the game lags. :)
