How will the Springfield death effect tsto?
They will more than likely keep the character. If anything they may do a story line to also honour the character.

- It will be Krusty's dad voiced by Jackie Mason.
They also said it would be someone that had an Emmy (so everyone thinks it will be a Castalenetta character)- Mason won an Emmy for that character. - I notice the episode page said he'd probably die. I believe this to be one fan's opinion, not a general consensus. So I removed it. But really, simpsonswiki.net is better. The Wikia one is just a fork.

Well they had to kill of Maude because her voice actor quit. But they didn't have to kill her. They did it just because. They even said so themselves in the episode commentary.
