I made a monorail system map

So excited to finally rebuild my entire rail system, i decided to make a system map for it!

I live in Atlanta, USA, which has a terribly inadequate light rail. So i wanted a good one for my SF. I considered having one line throughout the town, but i really like to make extra stations and have multiple trains running around. I'm also super happy the recent item limit increase has allowed me to fully complete the rail, which has intentionally been missing 50% of its pieces.

Here it is.

It's really just artwork i created to share with other TSTO fans like you. The neighborhoods are exact, as i drew them over an actual full town portrait. I hope you like it!

This is a pic of the Central Station where all three train lines originate. The Red Line goes to SH, both universities, and terminates at the Airport. It's a very nice train. The Green Line goes to the hospital and the unemployment office. It's an ok train. The blue line goes to the sports arenas, KL, and the old railroad station. It's the most worn out train.
  • great work, I have been trying to do this for years, what I need is more proper train stations and respective pieces, I have asked in this forum for years lol, nit actively, but public transport should be featured better, also possibility to expand the airport

THANK YOU!! And; I agree, which is why I made my own additions to the system, including at the Airport.

For those of you who aren't my neighboreenos, here’s a tour of all my stations as listed on the map above:

Springfield CMS is origin for all 3 lines:
RED LINE 1st stop with "limited service" (aka doesn't actually stop) is the only station in Springfield Heights

2nd "limited" stop at Katmandu University and the Mt Springfield Ski Resort area

3rd stop, full service station at Santa's Village and Springfield University. This station has stairs for both sides of the river that separates these two campuses.

4th and final stop at the Airport, much like my hometown in Atlanta, GA (USA)

GREEN LINE 1st full service stop is Medical Center, across from the hospital and adjacent to the Unemployment Office. Also nearby are the media offices and SF Institute of Technology

2nd and final stop is the Main St Mall-O-Rail store

BLUE LINE limited stop is at the Stadium complex. There are suites that overlook Isotope Field; and separate entrances for each stadium.

full stop at KrustyLand with nearby Duff Gardens and KrustyLu Studios

and final stop at Tetanus Terminal, which i have designated dual purpose as the OLD Springfield Railroad train station. Of course there is a NEW SF train station, which was built in a "recently gentrified area on the edge of the Outlands, closer to downtown SF" ?. This station serves Old Springfield, and the PowWow Casino on the native American reservation; which was "the first casino in the area before modern land developers created the big Vegas-style strip in the desert". (I love fabricating history for my town's development. LOL)

Hopefully more monorail stations will come, but I'd love to see an actual railroad too.

I share that emotion. I moved every old style building, fixture, animal and ornament I had in Springfield over to the "new" land north of Springfield Heights to create "Old Springfield". Now I have a western landscape folks can tour either on foot or via the Monorail extension that runs along one side of Old Springfield. (Yes, it has a sign that says Old Springfield.) Building OS was a hoot, though a bit tedious. Oh, and if you plan to tour, bring coins for the bridge keeper - or whiskey.

  • I love when monorails are interconnecting but completely never thought this way. It's amazing and I think just the "like" button is not enough.

I just noticed you customized that sign. Too cute! What a great scene I love it ?

Does anyone else here obsess over not putting monorail support pillars in the street? I wont do it if it's visible to the viewer
  • @4junk3000 as always, BRILLIANT work! Just love your designs!!
@surefirein93 absolutly love that sign!! Totally jealous

    You all are my inspirations
