Based on your post, you have more reasons to wait than spend. So I would wait. The level 30 stuff won't be leaving so you can still get it later on.

just buy the building that comes with a character and save other cash for squid.

is the internet not everywhere?

I think it's a good idea, but no one knows for sure when the squidport will arrive, and to buy all land you will need aprox $ 2,000,000 plus $ 400,000 for the buildings and decorations.

Ya-- with the 400,000 I will buy all of the squidport buildings and by the time it updates I will have money to buy a bit of land.
