I have seen SO MANY threads about people deleting "neighbors" for not tapping correctly.
It is truly bizarre to me that people are taking this no brainer game so very serious.
I like the game and I tap everyday, however, I don't get why some people are acting like you are somehow abusing them if you do not tap what they want.
Are these people under 12?
Do these people have absolutely no life or need some fresh air?
Am I missing something?
I HONESTLY do not get it...It's a game.
So you created a thread to shame on those who shame their neighbors for not tapping the right thing.
Why are you taking this game so seriously, OP? It's just a game
I don't get it
It's so stupid
You have no life
I delete everyone who taps on anything other than the trifecta that is in my landing zone with arrows pointing at it. If you tap something else tire just trolling so bye bye. No spreadsheets necessary, unless your brain can't retain an username long enough to go to the list, find it and delete it.
That's the beauty of supply and demand. There's so many people out there looking for neighbors and willing to be a good one, I'm constantly updating my list and adopting new ones.Adamcayce wrote:
It's really sad that adults are responding with comments trying to convince others on the forum how cool they are by making it known how little they care about this game and making it clear how unattached they are.
As someone who isnt isn't Junior high anymore- I dont care if u nobodies think you are too cool. I'll be the first to PROUDLY admit am attached to this game. I have a spreadsheet in which buildings are best to tap, and list if which neighbors are the best and a point system!! This game has strategies, its not a point and shoot game. Stop making fun of others because you are "too cool" like you're in jr. High.
I was goofing a bit earlier, but I hope I wasn't coming across as "too cool" for the games. Not that you were talking about me, necessarily...
I feel like people should keep track or not keep track, and delete or not delete, based on whatever their personal goals are for the game. And I don't think anyone should feel guilty about any of it. If a person's been playing for years and they have in-game money falling out of their ears, it should be ok with everyone if they don't visit 100 neighbors every single day, they can always pick up folks when they need them from the Add Me threads. On the other hand, if a person has a strategy and a goal, they shouldn't have to stick with 95 neighbors they picked up at Halloween but haven't seen since the ghosts left town.
Instead of people being made to feel like sloths if they're not out there tapping for their keep, or slavedrivers if they're trying to get some return visits, I think we should all just prune our lists according to whatever criteria keep us all happy. That's all I am trying to say.
If I am your neighbor and you don't like what I'm doing, please just cut me and find someone better. These aren't organ donor lists, it's not going to cause a life or limb threatening emergency. In the meantime, at least those of us who are reading here regularly are learning good strategies to help ourselves and others, and this is a cooperative game so it's never bad to give your neighbors a boost. I always love a good win-win situation. :-)Zeosly wrote:
This one time one of my neighbors tapped my Simpson house AND my brown house! So naturally I tracked him down got on a $500 dollar flight to where he lived and took a cab to his house. Once I got there I slashed his tires and scratched the words "BROWN HOUSE!" all over his car with a knife.
That taught him what to tap and what not to tap. Harrumph!
Brilliant!!! Too funny!!hipmama197190 wrote:

I imagine some of them sitting there with spreadsheets. Hmmmm, neighbor X click on my Kwik-e-mart on Wednesday...
Oh heaven's no! Who cares enough about a silly little game to assemble a spreadsheet?
All I do is keep track on a 6x8' white board. All of my neighbors are on one axis, and my buildings are on the other. The neighbors are color coded according to a simple matrix calculated based on the number of their visits in a week multiplied by how helpful their taps are, with extra credit points awarded for ease of navigation in their towns, how "non-grid like" their Springfields are, and how often they post in the forums.
If they dip into the Danger Zone (reds ands oranges) for too many days, they get a written warning sent by PM. After 3 written warnings, they have to either write an essay about how their behavior will improve, or engage in a quick phone consultation with me where we discuss the expectations for remaining in my Neighborhood.
Pretty easy peasy stuff. But yeah, that spreadsheet stuff is totally overboard!
Seriously, I don't care if people want to delete over whether their neighbors visit or not. Or how they keep track, or what their criteria are. I'd rather be deleted than have someone keep me on their friend list and think negative thoughts about me every day because I'm not doing what they want. There are zillions of people in the Add Me threads, so in theory everyone should be able to assemble a neighborhood full of people they are happy with, if they are willing to put whatever amount of effort in that it's going to take to do that.
I don't really have a big whiteboard for TSTO, but if anyone does, can you explain it to me so I can start one to keep my bills in order?
Hugs to everyone in the forums!
So very funny!!!
I am glad the majority of responses have caught the humor in my original post.
Happy Tapping!- HOLY #%^! Too many to quote.
Love the thread. The fact that there's a tutorial on visiting friends just baffled me. Tap what you want or don't. It's cool. Cu at next event, we'll meet up, hang out. Ugly sweater party?
Oh, but don't tap my houses, kwik-e-mart... - I will delete neighbors when I am convinced that thy are inactive (I am too soft). I keep one level 14 way too long (He should have been level 17 and his unfinished building must never have met building code).
How other play is their business but if they post their requirements on the forum, you know if you should friend them or not (or understand why they dropped you). - yeah, I have a couple that are annoying me with brown/simposon/kem taps. Of course, its' hard to know if they came just after I collected all my longer term buildings, and that may be all that was left. I know I go into some towns and that is all that is available. Generally I look for tiles first, then farm/CH6 if I see it, or longer time buildings. But I'm also not going to scan thru a whole large town looking for optimum tappable buildings. Too many neighbors, takes too much time as it is.

+1. I completely agree with this.moxxee wrote:
This pretty much sums things up every time I visit my neighbors.

Hahaha... That's awesome!!!- I keep a spreadsheet of all my neighbours!
I let my friend list build up to each event, and then, after the event, I log visits for 14 days. The bottom 30 in terms of number of visits are deleted. Simples :D
this does NOT include forum regs since I cons7der it an honour to be their neighbour!
I of course ensure I visit each and every neighbour every day when doing a cull......
I simply do not have time for neighbours who only take.
