I think the monorail is inevitable

Hope so! Loved that episode

The big problem with the monorail is, I think, a design issue. If you build on the current springfield, the tracks, pillars, etc, will obscure a huge amount of other buildings and wandering characters, underneath or behind them. The escalator to nowhere or the food needle in Krustyland are prime examples - most people have them at the far right or the back of their towns, or move building so there is nothing behind them, so a monorail running around the town would be very difficult to to design in.

For it to work, you'd really need to be able to rotate the whole map, zoom in under the monorail and so on. Otherwise you'll either not be able to tap on stuff under/behind the tracks and pillars, or have to move everything as you build your monorail. And with everything crammed in already, I don't think it's gpoing to work.

I agree it's not going to work in our current town situation we will most likely need an expansion area like a field specifically for it or ability to put it on our outskirts of town so it's not in anyone's way and only available section to tap on is the station which you would obviously place in town skirts with the track running outside in the dark areas of non expandable area. Just a thought

The T.V. show page or the TSTO page? (or is there a TSTO FB page? - I'm not on FB)

Its the tv show page. Could mean nothing though as maggie was posted last week, and some thought she was coming and were still waiting.

  • They could superimpose an image of some mountains with an image of the monorail to the "raw" green edges of our Springfield, similar to the faux mountains at the top of our springfield, and/or the trees on the sides of krustyland. and only have small section(s) of the monorail track and wreckage for us to place inside our actual town. . As we buy new land the faux image would just scooch overto make room. If they add new land, a similar system. Get rid of that plain ugly dark green on the two unfinished sides of our town.

Would changing the dark green to a pictorial use up a huge amount o?f server space?

You are a smart person. That is a really smart idea. I would tHink it would take no extra space, cause like you said it's replacing dark green to a static coloured pic. Btw my tablet must be British cause it attocorected color.
  • The local Fox affiliate ran the episode tonight. So the FB teaser was probably for that.

I'd still like to have it in my SF.

Simpsons executive producer and writer tweeted this: "I am writing the most crazy bananas update for Simpsons: Tapped Out that you will ever see in the rest of your given days." Not sure how big this update will be, or whether it will be a new event, or level update. I'm trying to find out.

Cool quote, but if they're writing it now, it might be a while before we see it.
