Inexpensive tablet to play the game on?
I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7" and the game runs fine (Latest model is Tab 4). Get something with 1.5Gb RAM and you should be ok. Cost €150 Edit Also comes in 8"

Well, I've thought long and hard about this...
Thank you for the offer but I'm going to pass.
1. The issue with the USB connector seems to be a major design flaw involving the case. I think any replacement would just tear up after a short time.
2. A 4 year old battery is a 4 year old battery. Actually, not having been charged for an extended period of time could have put it in a worse condition than mine.
Oh, and I've looked at Amazon Fire tablets. Of the several games I play on my Nexus the ONLY one I can find in their store is Tapped Out. And then there's the update delay issue.
I'm thinking about the new Insignia Flex 8.0 from Best Buy. It's only 70 but has better specs than my Nexus (and 16 Gigs of storage). And if it doesn't work out I can just take it back to the store and get a refund.
