I can't see EA doing anything about it, how would they tell? Go through millions of accounts one at a time and see if they tie up with what they have purchased?
Personally i couldn't see the problem with having loads of free donuts, as long as you dont use them to speed up. I think speeding up is what ruins the game. I have a fair amount of donuts that i have aquired over time which is no different really, free or not i was getting everything in the premium list one way or another.
I am not sure that would even work as in apps are processed by appple/google/amazon and Ea proberbly don't get a list. The jokes on the hackers who are only spoiling there own game by tacking away any sence of achivement.- LuGer33xSeasoned Newcomer

It really wouldn't be that hard to review someone's account history and in-app purchases. Do they have more premium content than what their purchases made would allow?
They could also easily limit their search to those accounts that have hundreds of dollars worth of premium items and then make sure those persons have spent the equivalent amount, taking into consideration Donut giveaways and what have you.I am not sure that would even work as in apps are processed by appple/google/amazon and Ea proberbly don't get a list.
Of course EA gets figures on in-app purchases. It's their game; they're the ones with shareholders here and EA needs to know how TO is doing financially in order to decide if it's worth keeping the game up and running. Not to mention they need this information for all other customer support problems not having to do with hacking ("I purchased X donuts but the game didn't give me them!!") which they most likely get fairly often. - As some wise person on the internet once said, getting mad at someone for being gay because you're straight is like getting mad at someone for eating a donut when you're on a diet.
Their choices have absolutely zero outcome on how your game plays. They are free to do whatever they want. Worry about your own life. - as spAnser said, there is a protection being put on the game, BUT it's not implemented yet. just a bit.

if it doesn't bother them why does it bother you?
hacking the game would completely ruin it for me. if i suddenly had unlimited donuts and could get anything i want i would completely lose interest in this game.
So you think it's perfectly fine that people are hacking the game?
it doesn't affect me at all so i don't really care.
Well, good to know that you support hackers and cheaters then.
yes cause that's exactly what i said
 Maxx, you get the prestigious Unflappable Whitney award.

Glad we're on the same page then.
You'll eventually realize that repetitive sarcasm is not an effective way to argue, and really just makes you sound like a spoiled teenager with nothing important to say to anyone.
Hacking is an issue with The Simpsons Tapped Out, that is apparent. But what MaxxSpider was suggesting--and this is the attitude most people do or at least should have--is that unlike other games, TS:TO isn't a competitive multiplayer game; one person's town has no impact on another's. There are no leaderboards, no competitive matches, nothing that should really get you bent out of shape over the fact that someone else is breaking the rules.
However, I do understand the frustration that comes with having to pay for things that someone else is getting for free. I can tell you right now that EA does care about hackers because Donuts cost money, and hacking the game to obtain premium currency is literally stealing. But also remember that TS:TO is a casual, freemium game, and the vast, vast majority of players are not hacking anything. Just because you've run across a decent amount of them on the web means nothing when you consider how many millions of players have downloaded and played this game legitimately.
If you run across a hacker, and have actual proof, I would suggest PMing a mod with the link and/or evidence. The mod can then take a look and forward the evidence up the food chain to the community manager at EA if it's warranted for possible actioning.
At least on the NHL and Madden forums, that's how we handle cheaters.
I was just replying sarcasm with sarcasm.
I agree with you that technically hacking does not alter the gameplay for others, but it is the principle that counts.
Imagine if you go out on a dinner with two of your friends. Now imagine if one of your friends pay for the other person as a gesture but doesn't pay for you. Wouldn't you find it a bit rude?
My point is that us TSTO players should all be equal. Either everyone pays for the premium stuff or nobody does. Whether premium items should be free is a different topic but the fact of the matter is that premium items cost donuts and as honest players, we spend real money on them. Therefore it's a slap to our face that other people just go and hack the game and expect others to pick up the bill.
Have you ever heard stories of people who cheat the government by not paying taxes? Does it have any effect on you as a taxpayer? Not really. Do you think that they should stop doing this and receive a punishment for doing this? I'm assuming your answer is yes here, am I right? Because your tax money goes to support people on benefits just like our premium purchases goes to support the costs for servers, maintenance of the game, etc.fuzznugget77 wrote:

Companies like Nintendo have successfully been able to track down people who upload pirated Nintendo games on websites as free downloads. If Nintendo can track down people, then surely EA can track down illegitimate accounts as well.- I am an honest premium player at least $150 deep in this game.
The hackers on this game don't bother me too bad.............................(I'm lying, it infuriates me)
And speaking of Nintendo, the maddest I have ever been was playing Mario kart wii.
The hackers on there made me so upset I would be ready to form a lynch mob and hunt them down. Khodro wrote:

they have 10milion+ downloads. who cares about hackers.
also there's no possible way to know if one has hacked or not really.
How do you know if they legitemely bought donuts or not? cant rich people buy many boatloads if they want? and if they do should they be banned cause they've over 10000? no
Only way is seeing the registration date and check the old items probably. but even then innocent people may have been tricked in downloading old items' hack. you may NEVER knowLPNintendoITA wrote:

Donuts have a registry so it's easy to check for cheaters.
