Is "Superheroes" the Best Event Yet For Free Donuts?

So by far this is the most generous an event has been in terms of donut giveaways!

... but keep it down, will you? You want EA to change the drop rate?!

It's been an eventful week in Tapped Out, and to think this time last year we were in a huge lull!

It has been for me so far...multiple bonus boxes for several dozen donuts, multiple chances per day to obtain boxes, multiple days left in this portion of the event.

I draw the line between bonus boxes, chance bonuses, and pre-planned bonuses. These are three distinct bonuses that should be considered separately. The boxes are guaranteed after X amount of extra currency, the chance bonuses are extras you could earn from obtaining items(bags, ammunition), and pre-planned bonuses are what everyone can earn by doing a certain quest or tapping a certain item x amount of times...


Purely on bonus boxes this is the best for me. For bonuses overall this is still the best by a hair because we are still a few days away from Issue 3 and at a rate of two per day I am looking at possibly 24 more donuts...then you still have Issue 3's bonuses and whatever Issue 4's bonuses are- so by the end of the event you could have a lot more donuts than you ever had before :shock:

Not for me. I went 5 days last week with no friend visit donuts

I should have written "a waste for me." I realize that many people on this forum have 80 billion in cash and love to spend it.

I'm still working through level 47 quest lines (although I'm technically at level 48 ). I need $150K to put towards buildings, not for getting an additional one or two donuts.

Think about it this way: your opportunity to earn in-game cash will still be there after the event, and so will the level questlines and buildings. Your opportunity for bonus donuts in an event is limited time.

nothing compares to Halloween 2014. I had well over 100 donuts from that event

I didn't hit a single donut-packed UFO during the Halloween event, but I still did far better in donut accumulation than I have for this latest event. I'm pretty sure I was up 120+ donuts for Halloween just from grinding for treat bags.

However, it seems that this time around it's far easier to hit the bonus quotas for collecting pies, rods, etc. The only downside is that it's draining my cash reserves because I rarely pick the window with three donuts the first time... or even the second time. I'm basically paying $100K per donut, which isn't a bad price, all things considered.

Does someone know for how much I can sell the pancake house? If I can sell it for at least 750 000 I would and I would buy it again after event is over. I dont like being this low on money when I have a change of getting free donuts and probably missing out on them because of my horrible picking choices!

I don't know, because it just pops up with a warning that Helen Lovejoy will also be sold. I don't want to lose her and wait another day to get her back.
If you must sell stuff, maybe sell decorations or buildings that don't come with a character.
