Is taking advantage of in game glitches cheating?
I say no. There are no "rules" for this games therefore cheating can occur. Is it unethical, well that's a different questions, but no I don't think it's unethical either.

I think the Halloween infinitely possessed was definitely a glitch - I couldn't force it to happen...dammit. The squidport tiles and channel 6 I would class as more of an easter egg. EA has to know about it so why would they let it go uncorrected for so long? Besides, people are more likely to play more often if they think there's a chance this "good deal" might go away with any given update. It keeps some folks going between major events.
