Doubtful. Especially since Disney just acquired it. They’ll never stop the Simpsons. Have no fear, they’ve got stories for years.
Of course the show will end sooner or later.
You forget that the actors that do all the voice acting for the main characters like Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, etc may wanna retire or eventually die from old age.
So no, the show definitely won't go on forever like you claim.
They have back up actors to take their places (as stated when Harry Shearer was holding out on signing a new contract a few years ago). I wouldn’t want them to continue without the original cast, but my point is that they have a plan for what you said would end the show.
You honestly think that these untried back up actors would do just as good a job as the current VA actors for the main cast currently do? I don't think so.
Plus there will be definitely be fan outrage if they try to replace any of the main VA's like Dan Castellenta - voice of Homer, Nancy Cartwright - voice of Bart, etc with new people that's for sure. A lot of fans won't stand for it.
Same goes for Matt Groening too, if he leaves the show for whatever reason or dies. I doubt it would be easy to replace a good writer like him. Imo it just won't be the same The Simpons show without Groening's involvement in it tbh.
